On the afternoon of November 26, the Ministry of Finance held a launching ceremony calling on all officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Finance sector to donate to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions who suffered damage caused by floods.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the total amount of money that the Ministry of Finance has raised in this period is estimated at 3.5 billion VND. “In addition to the donation to the Ministry of Finance’s General Program, the Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) will continue to donate 2 billion VND to the four central provinces affected by floods through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), said a representative of the Ministry of Finance.

The recent torrential rains and floods have swept away many houses, crops, and properties. Many families have lost their homes, their livelihoods, and even their loved ones. Thousands of people are struggling with countless shortages, worries about tomorrow, the future, and many difficulties after the floods.

“The Ministry of Finance also requests that units and organizations in the industry proactively launch donations in appropriate forms; ensuring practicality, efficiency, publicity, transparency and transferring to the right subjects and purposes in the soonest time,” a representative of the Ministry of Finance said on the afternoon of November 26.
