Formerly known as Thanh Son Specialized Secondary School, established on August 21, 1993, after more than 30 years of development, Le Quy Don Secondary School has affirmed its position as one of the leading secondary schools in the locality.

In its early days, the school faced many difficulties in teaching and learning. Classrooms were simple, equipment was scarce, and the lives of the people in the mountainous region were still very hard, making the journey of "imparting knowledge" for generations of teachers fraught with challenges. However, with dedication, a strong will to overcome difficulties, and the support of the local Party committee, government, and people, the school gradually rose up, building a solid foundation for its development.

To date, the school's appearance has undergone many changes.
