Phong Chau pontoon bridge resumes operation

Based on national hydro-climatic information and flow velocity test results in the area Phong Chau bridge, from 5:30 am on August 18, Brigade 249 (Engineering Corps) organized forces to reconnect the pontoon bridge, from 7 am the pontoon bridge was put into operation to serve people crossing the bridge. Previously, due to the high water level in the Phong Chau pontoon bridge area, the amount of garbage dumped was too much to ensure safety when operating the pontoon bridge; therefore, Brigade 249 (Engineering Corps) cut the pontoon bridge and temporarily stopped traffic.
