Civility makes holidays even more beautiful.

These days, people in Thai Nguyen in particular and the whole country in general are turning their attention to Hanoi, the capital city, where activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd are taking place. Many specific decisions have been made to support the people and tourists: free bus and tram tickets for all four days of the holiday; provision of drinking water, snacks, and temporary resting places; and installation of 22 large outdoor screens for watching the parade and procession.

This information has excited many locals and tourists, as it shows they not only get to participate in a major national event but also that their everyday needs, such as transportation and food, are being taken into consideration.

Hanoi's decision to offer free public transport for four days during the holiday carries many messages. It demonstrates a visionary approach to urban management, encouraging people to use buses and trains to reduce traffic congestion. At the same time, this decision also serves as an experiential campaign, giving those accustomed to using motorbikes and private cars a chance to try public transport without worrying about the cost. If they find it convenient and comfortable, they may gradually form a new habit.

One noteworthy detail is that the city also provided shelter, drinking water, and instant snacks for its residents. These seemingly small things are very practical and even become a heartwarming experience for visitors. Ultimately, a modern city is not only defined by its grand structures, but also by its ability to provide convenience for each individual in specific situations.

Despite the meticulous preparations by the authorities, there were still some unsightly scenes such as trampled flowers and plants, litter left on the streets, crowding, pushing and shoving,爭搶 seating, and crossing security barriers. Although these behaviors only occurred among a small number of people, they somewhat diminished the meaning and beauty of the overall festival.

Hanoi has been preparing for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, in a way that is both solemn and intimate. Military parades and processions affirm national strength, while free tickets and free bottles of water demonstrate care for each citizen. These two aspects blend together, creating the unique identity of the thousand-year-old capital, representing the entire nation while also sheltering its ordinary people.

On the surface, free bus tickets or water distribution are seen as part of the government's responsibility. But for each citizen, it's also a reminder of how we should reciprocate such care. A free ticket saves money, but more importantly, each person should "give back" with civilized behavior, orderly travel, maintaining the landscape and security, so that each event becomes an opportunity to demonstrate cultural conduct and community responsibility.

This policy shows that Hanoi is moving towards becoming a civilized city. Thai Nguyen can learn from this to improve the quality of festivals and events, from investing in public transportation to providing convenient facilities for attendees. This will not only provide a convenient and warm experience but also contribute to building the image of a civilized, friendly, and hospitable Thai Nguyen.
