The working delegation of the National Assembly Office directly inspected the progress of the project of the Memorial Site of the Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee Bui Bang Doan in Bat Chua village, Ung Thien commune.

The memorial area is designed in a traditional, solemn style, in harmony with the landscape and cultural space of Bat Chua village. Currently, the construction units are urgently completing the final items.

The project to build the Memorial Site of the Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee Bui Bang Doan was implemented in Bat Chua village, Lien Bat commune, Ung Hoa district (now Ung Thien commune), with a total area of about 972m². The project belongs to group C, with the Hanoi People's Committee deciding on the investment policy, the People's Committee of the former Ung Hoa district (now Ung Thien commune) as the investor, with a total estimated investment of more than 37.5 billion VND from the city budget.

Reporting on the progress at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ung Thien Commune, Do Nang Binh, said that up to now, the project has completed the main items, such as: Guest house, cinema house; it is expected that the entire project will be completed by September 15.

From September 15 to 17, the construction unit installed equipment and cleaned inside and outside the premises to prepare for the inauguration ceremony on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of the birth of the Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee Bui Bang Doan (September 19, 1889 - September 19, 2025).

Chairman of Ung Thien Commune People's Committee Do Nang Binh also proposed to the Secretary General of the National Assembly and Hanoi City People's Committee to consider adding and expanding the project space associated with the Bat Chua village cultural complex, thereby creating an attractive destination for students and people inside and outside the locality, promoting cultural and historical values in the area.

Representatives of the city's departments and branches highly appreciated the progress of the project implementation under the conditions of both implementing a two-level local government and implementing the direction of the National Assembly and the city to build a memorial area for the Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee Bui Bang Doan.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen praised the departments, branches, Ung Thien commune, design consulting, supervision and construction units for focusing on implementing the construction and achieving very good results, meeting the schedule.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee agreed with the commune's proposal and asked the Secretary General of the National Assembly to consider proposing to supplement the project and renovate it into a park in the cultural space complex of Bat Chua village, Ung Thien commune.

At the meeting, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung said that through actual inspection, the basic items have been completed so far. Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung agreed with the proposal of Ung Thien commune and Hanoi People's Committee to add the project, so that the memorial area becomes a cultural destination of Ung Thien commune, Hanoi city and the whole country.
