The SJC gold price, as listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), is 82.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 84.3 million VND/ounce for selling, a decrease of 200,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous trading session. The difference between the buying and selling price is 2.0 million VND.
Today, DOJI lists the price of 9999 gold at 82.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 84.3 million VND/ounce for selling, a decrease of 200,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous closing session. The difference between the buying and selling price is 2.0 million VND.
Mi Hong Company in Ho Chi Minh City is also listing the price of gold rings at 83.6-84.3 million VND/ounce, while the price of SJC gold remains at 83.7-84.3 million VND/ounce. Mi Hong is currently offering the highest buying price for gold rings and SJC gold among gold trading businesses.
At PNJ and Bao Tin Minh Chau, the price of gold rings also decreased by 200,000 VND/ounce, bringing the price of plain gold rings manufactured by PNJ down to 83.6 - 84.3 million VND/ounce; Bao Tin Minh Chau's Thang Long Dragon gold traded at 82.5 - 84.3 million VND/ounce.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:30 AM Vietnam time today was $2,616.43 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is down 0.32% compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,737 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 81.1 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently 3.2 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

According to Reuters, gold prices remained stable globally in thin trading due to the holiday season, as investors focused on the US Federal Reserve's interest rate strategy and President-elect Donald Trump's tariff policies, factors that could shape the metal's trajectory next year.
Zain Vawda, a market analyst at MarketPulse of OANDA, said: "The current sideways trend appears to be largely due to the low liquidity environment."
Gold had a fantastic 2024, poised for its best performance since 2010 with a 27% increase.
"A similar price surge could occur in 2025, but this largely depends on geopolitical developments," Vawda added. "Unless there is an unexpected geopolitical disruption, the baseline case expects gold prices to be around $2,800 per ounce, due to persistent risks and concerns about trade wars."
Gold bars are considered a safe investment during times of economic and geopolitical instability.
Analysts have predicted that consecutive record highs in 2024 will set the stage for a similar price surge in 2025, driven by continued central bank buying, rising geopolitical tensions, and Fed interest rate cuts.
However, the upward momentum began to weaken in early November as the US dollar strengthened amid "Trump's enthusiasm," dampening gold's gains.
As Trump prepares to return to the White House in January, U.S. investors are bracing for significant policy changes in 2025, including higher trade tariffs, deregulation, and tax changes, all of which could have inflationary effects.
Frank Watson, a precious metals analyst at Kinesis Money, said: "If (tariffs) are implemented, this would leave the Federal Reserve with less room to continue cutting interest rates, and we see the market having lowered expectations on this issue for 2025."
While the Fed aggressively cut interest rates in September, November, and December, it has signaled it will cut less in 2025 due to persistently high inflation.
Higher interest rates increase the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding gold bullion.
Spot silver prices remained stable at $29.65 per ounce, platinum rose 0.4% to $942.50, and palladium increased 1.8% to $946.11.
