Saigon Jewelry Company listed the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars at 79.0-81.0 million VND/ounce, unchanged from yesterday's closing price. Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Minh Chau, the price of SJC gold was listed at 79.0-81.0 million VND/ounce (buying/selling), unchanged in both buying and selling prices compared to the same time on August 27th.

While the price of gold bars remained stable, the price of gold rings increased slightly in both buying and selling prices.
Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of gold rings at 77.4 - 78.65 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the closing price yesterday.
DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group listed the price of gold rings at 77.55-78.65 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the closing price yesterday.
The price of SJC gold bars remains unchanged at 81 million VND/ounce for selling price at major gold trading businesses such as Doji and Phu Quy. Domestic gold prices have remained almost stagnant in recent days, while world gold prices have remained high above 2,500 USD.
According to businesses, the domestic gold price has remained stable in recent days due to decreased demand for gold among the population.
Previously, on August 27th, Vietcombank announced the cessation of direct gold sales and the introduction of SJC gold bar sales through its VCB Digibank digital banking app. Accordingly, Vietnamese individual customers simply need to select the maximum quantity, location, and time for SJC gold bar delivery at a suitable counter and complete the transaction.
In the domestic market, a notable development in recent days is the continued decline in the USD exchange rate.
While the exchange rate listed at Vietcombank reached 25,150 VND/USD last Friday, it has fallen to 24,630 – 25,000 VND/USD (buying and selling rates) this morning.
The exchange rate on the free market in Hanoi also decreased by 50 dong on the buying side, down to 25,150 dong, but remained unchanged on the selling side at 25,300 dong/USD. Thus, the difference with the exchange rate listed at commercial banks is approximately 260-270 dong.
