Domestic gold price increases "dizzily" by nearly 2 million VND/tael
Domestic gold increased by nearly 2 million VND/tael in both buying and selling directions, while world gold continued to increase sharply. At the time of survey at 5:00 a.m. on December 23, on the trading floors of some companies as follows:

Today's 9999 gold price is listed by DOJI at 75.70 million VND/tael for buying and 77.00 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price at the time of survey and listing of SJC gold was at 76.20 - 77.40 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 75.70 - 77.18 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 75.70 - 77.20 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,052.840 USD/ounce, a difference of 7,859 USD/ounce compared to the world gold price yesterday. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank , the world gold price is about 59.269 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 16.531 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Japanese Yen exchange rate continues to increase
According to a survey this morning, December 23, by Cong Thuong Newspaper, the Japanese Yen exchange rate at Eximbank is the bank with the highest Japanese Yen buying rate and Agribank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.
Some other banks, specifically as follows:

At Vietcombank , the Vietcombank Japanese Yen exchange rate is 165.38 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 175.07 VND/JPY, an increase of 0.6 VND in the buying direction and an increase of 0.64 VND in the selling direction.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.47 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 166.44 VND/JPY and 176.14 VND/JPY.
At Agribank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate for buying and selling is 167.17 VND/JPY and 172.48 VND/JPY, respectively - up 0.44 VND for buying and 0.48 VND for selling.
At Eximbank, the buying price increased by 0.69 VND and the selling price increased by 0.72 VND, respectively at 167.92 VND/JPY and 172.61 VND/JPY.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.72 VND in buying and increased by 0.85 VND in selling with prices of 163.75 VND/JPY and 174.89 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.59 VND in the buying and selling directions, corresponding to the prices of 167.92 VND/JPY and 174.47 VND/JPY.
World oil price reaches 80 USD/barrel
In the world market, gasoline prices today, December 23, continued to increase following the previous day's increase.
Data from Oilprice shows that at 8:52 p.m. on December 22 (Vietnam time), Brent crude oil was trading at $80.04 per barrel, up $0.65, or 0.82%, from the previous session. WTI crude oil was at $74.62 per barrel, up $0.73, or 0.99%, from the previous session.

Oil prices rose as tensions continued in the Middle East after attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on ships bound for Israeli ports forced major shipping lines to steer clear of the Red Sea, disrupting global trade, analysts said.
Besides, the weakening of the USD is also a factor contributing to supporting oil prices.
Domestic coffee prices increase sharply
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:12 a.m. on December 23, 2023, and turned to increase sharply, after the previous decrease, an increase of 1,600 - 1,700 VND/kg. Currently, the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces is about 69,500 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 69,800 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 69,600 VND/kg (up 1,600 VND/kg); coffee in Dak Nong province is purchased at the highest price of 69,800 VND/kg (up 1,700 VND/kg).
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 68,900 VND/kg (an increase of 1,600 VND/kg).
Coffee prices today (December 23) in Dak Lak province were purchased at a fairly high level. In Cu M'gar district, coffee was purchased at 69,600 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, it was purchased at the same price of 69,700 VND/kg (an increase of 1,700 VND/kg).
