Vi Hao surgery successful

Late on April 3, striker Bui Vi Hao had a successful surgery after a nearly 3-hour surgery.

On the morning of April 4, Dr. Tran Huy Tho of the Vietnamese team visited Bui Vi Hao at the hospital. This player had just had a successful surgery last night, is recovering at the hospital and smiled brightly when meeting his acquaintances from the team.

Vi Hao's surgery was performed by Dr. Truong Cong Dung, former doctor of U20 Vietnam at the 2017 U20 World Cup. Dr. Dung and his team performed many complex techniques to treat the multiple injuries of the Vietnamese striker.

Previously, after re-diagnosis, Dr. Dung said that Vi Hao's injury was more severe than expected, as in addition to a torn ankle ligament, Hao also suffered damage to his ankle in addition to a broken tibia and fibula.

Vi Hao suffered an injury after leaving the FIFA Days training session with the Vietnam national team to return to his club. He unfortunately had an accident while preparing for the 2025 National Cup quarter-final match between Binh Duong and Ninh Binh. This injury forced Hao to rest for 10 months, almost missing the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games later this year.

Vi Hao was born in 2003, 1.8 m tall, is one of the potential strikers of Vietnamese football when participating in all continental arenas such as U20, U23 Asia and ASIAD. At the age of 21, Hao contributed 1 goal, 1 assist to help the Vietnamese team win the Southeast Asian championship.
