[Video] Opening of the 8th Central Party Congress of the Public Security

On the morning of October 4, the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly opened in Hanoi with the participation of 350 delegates. General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a speech directing the Congress. Also attending were President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Speaking at the Congress, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that this is an event of special importance to the cause of protecting national security and social order and safety in the new period.

The General Secretary acknowledged and commended the results and achievements that the Central Public Security Party Committee and the People's Public Security force had achieved in the past term, and at the same time requested a frank recognition of limitations, continued innovation in thinking, improved knowledge, and building a regular, elite, and modern force.

The General Secretary noted five key tasks, emphasizing the task of firmly protecting security in new spaces and fields; taking care to build a clean and strong Party organization; resolutely preventing and combating corruption and negativity; promoting the power of science and technology; closely connecting with the people, and building a solid people's security.

The General Secretary launched the emulation movement "Most Disciplined - Most Loyal - Closest to the People", believing that the Congress will create new momentum and determination, helping the Central Public Security Party Committee and the People's Public Security force continue to achieve many feats, meeting the trust and expectations of the Party, State and people.
