Visiting Uncle Ho's grave in Buenos Aires

Người Lao ĐộngNgười Lao Động17/01/2023

The flight from Vietnam to Buenos Aires (the capital of Argentina) is considered one of the longest in the world , taking over 32 hours each way, not including layovers and transfers. Completing this round-trip journey will allow you to be proud of your health and stamina.

Buenos Aires is known by many different names, but the most popular is "the Paris of the South." Viewed from above, the city appears to be enveloped in a soothing green hue, patches of greenery interwoven with the grand architectural structures meticulously planned by the French in the 19th century.

French-influenced cuisine and exquisite wines will captivate any wine connoisseur. A myriad of cultural and architectural similarities to European society are present in the heart of this South American region, surprising visitors with the harmonious blend of a distinctly European (French) atmosphere and a vibrant Latin American (Argentinian) spirit.

Both Argentina and France share a slow-paced lifestyle. In Buenos Aires and Paris, you'll rarely see people rushing down the street, sandwiches in hand, hurrying to a meeting. For the people there, eating is a pleasure and should never be rushed. In particular, enjoying coffee has become a distinctive cultural feature of both countries.

When visiting Buenos Aires, one of the must-see attractions is Recoleta Cemetery – one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world. This was the city's first public cemetery, built in 1822. Its unique and orderly architectural style sets it apart. Walking through this strangely beautiful cemetery gave me a feeling of wonder rather than the fear of a horror movie.

The cemetery park is also the final resting place of many famous people, including the First Lady of Argentina, Eva "Evita" Perón. She was a national symbol of the dream of freedom, happiness, and equality for all, and the iconic figure in the famous song "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" performed by the legendary singer Madonna.

A destination of immense significance for Vietnamese tourists is the Monument to President Ho Chi Minh right in the heart of the capital. The monument, inaugurated on August 30, 2012, symbolizes the friendship between the people of Vietnam and Argentina. I was fortunate enough to spend the final moments of my trip laying flowers and paying respects to him, ending my journey with indescribable emotion and a heart full of profound reflections.
