Vietnam assumes the rotating chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires.

ASEAN Ambassadors agreed with Vietnam's proposals, promoting collaboration with government agencies and the business community to strengthen connectivity, expand, and enhance the effectiveness of economic and political cooperation.

On March 19th, local time, Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Ngo Minh Nguyet, in her capacity as the rotating Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires, chaired the 42nd regular meeting at the Vietnamese Embassy.

According to the VNA correspondent in Buenos Aires, Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet, along with Indonesian Ambassador Sulaiman Syarif, Malaysian Ambassador Nur Azman, Philippine Ambassador Grace T. Cruz-Fabella, and Thai Ambassador Krit Tankanarat, discussed plans to be implemented in the coming months to promote the image and position of ASEAN countries in Argentina and the region.

Besides organizing official ASEAN events such as the ASEAN Event at the Argentine Parliament, the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina will also host exchange activities such as ASEAN Family Day, sports competitions, and culinary and cultural exchanges between the representative offices of ASEAN countries in Buenos Aires, aiming to enhance understanding and promote the traditional spirit of solidarity among Southeast Asian nations.
