Vietnam values cooperation with Angola

Permanent Vice President of the Angolan National Assembly Américo António Cuononoca introduced to Minister Nguyen Kim Son the apparatus, functions, tasks and activities of the Angolan National Assembly.

Affirming that Minister Nguyen Kim Son's visit and work in Angola, as a representative of the Vietnamese Government, is a vivid demonstration of the good relationship between the two countries, the Permanent Vice President of the Angolan National Assembly also acknowledged Vietnam's active support for Angola, especially in the fields ofeducation , training and health.

Expressing his admiration for Vietnam's achievements in recent times, the Permanent Vice President of the Angolan National Assembly said that this is a source of inspiration for the country and people of Angola. Currently, Angola is promoting the attraction of foreign investment. Angola expressed its willingness to welcome Vietnamese enterprises to invest in Angola in the near future.

Thanking the Angolan National Assembly for the welcome, Minister Nguyen Kim Son informed the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly about Vietnam's outstanding achievements in recent times, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

According to Minister Nguyen Kim Son, with an open, peaceful, independent and responsible foreign policy, Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting international cooperation with traditional partners, including Angola - a partner with which it has had a long-standing good relationship.

As a representative of the Vietnamese Government attending the 7th meeting of the Vietnam-Angola Intergovernmental Committee, Minister Nguyen Kim Son said that at this meeting, the two sides will discuss and agree on cooperation contents in many fields, including education and training, health, agriculture, science and technology, oil and gas, trade and investment, etc. Therefore, the representative of the Vietnamese Government hopes that the Angolan National Assembly will support and further promote cooperation in many fields between the two countries in the coming time.

On the same afternoon, Minister Nguyen Kim Son visited Agostinho Neto University, the oldest university in Angola. Here, the head of the Vietnamese education and training sector suggested a number of cooperation directions between Agostinho Neto University and Vietnamese higher education institutions, such as training human resources in the fields of agriculture, petrochemicals, etc. Minister Nguyen Kim Son also asked Agostinho Neto University to research and fully utilize the number of scholarships that the Vietnamese government is giving to Angola every year.
