Vietnam Airlines opens Da Nang - Don Muong route

To facilitate passengers traveling between Vietnam and Thailand with a more diverse flight schedule, from November 29, 2023, Vietnam Airlines will operate a route connecting Da Nang with Don Muong Airport, the second largest airport in Bangkok. Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines will operate this route with a frequency of 07 flights/week using Airbus A321 aircraft. Flights depart from Da Nang at 20:00 and depart from Don Muong Airport at 05:05 every day of the week. On the occasion of opening the route, Vietnam Airlines is offering preferential round-trip fares on the Da Nang - Don Muong route from only 140 USD (equivalent to 3,199,000 VND, including taxes and fees). The ticket purchase period is from now until December 31, 2023, applicable for departures from November 29, 2023 to March 31, 2024. In addition, when purchasing a Flexible Economy Class ticket during this period, passengers will be upgraded to Business Class for free and receive an additional free baggage allowance outside of the standard. Currently, Vietnam Airlines is operating 49 flights per week on direct routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Bangkok. Thailand is the destination that Vietnam Airlines has the highest capacity among its Southeast Asian routes. In the first 9 months of 2023, the number of passengers transported on Vietnam Airlines' routes between Vietnam and Thailand increased 3 times compared to the same period in 2022, showing the recovery and strong growth potential of this market. The airline is actively researching to increase frequency and open new routes to further improve the flight route product between Vietnam and Thailand in the coming time.
