Viettel Post aims to increase delivery and logistics revenue by 30%

After 3 years of the pandemic, 2022 was expected to be a year of strong comeback and recovery for the global logistics industry. However, in reality, this is still a year full of difficulties and challenges for Vietnamese logistics enterprises. In the face of unpredictable fluctuations in both economy - politics - society, Viettel Post remains steadfast in its position as the "Fastest - Most Reliable" delivery unit based on a high-tech platform to steadily overcome the storm of market fluctuations.

In 2022, with efforts in research and application of technology to improve operational flow, Viettel Post's total postal delivery time was shortened to only 49.5 hours. Viettel Post's delivery market share also rose to 3rd place in the industry, delivery revenue in 2022 increased by 9.3%, total asset value increased by 5.55%.

Viettel Post's total consolidated revenue reached VND 21,742.76 billion, completing 84.53% of the plan, equivalent to 2021 (growth of 0.87%). Consolidated pre-tax profit reached VND 323.42 billion, completing 51.91% of the plan.

Regarding the 2022 dividend payment plan, the corporation will pay a total dividend of 19.11% (of which 11.5% will be cash and 7.61% will be stock dividends). The expected time to issue shares to pay dividends is in 2023, after approval by the State Securities Commission.

Based on the market situation, in 2023, Viettel Post plans to have total revenue and other income of VND18,464 billion, down 15% compared to 2022 due to a decrease in revenue from selling telecommunications scratch cards. However, Viettel Post plans to increase delivery and logistics revenue by about 30%. The target of consolidated profit after tax is expected to increase by nearly 47%, to VND376 billion.

The Board of Directors also proposed a number of key solutions, striving to complete the 2023 business plan, including promoting digital transformation activities, improving user experience through analysis, serving individualized needs of each customer; focusing on large customer segments and services with high profit margins such as: Online sales floors, B2B customers, spot delivery - same-day delivery - fresh delivery, high-value goods...; expanding the provision of 3PL logistics services including: Warehousing, distribution, order fulfillment, transportation, delivery... for large enterprises trading in branded products to help enterprises both reduce time and reduce costs; building the Viettel Post brand image with a new look: Modern, professional and reliable.
