On the evening of July 4, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training officially announced the exam scores and admission scores for the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates can look up their exam scores HERE.
The difference this year is that the admission score for non-specialized grade 10 is the total score of Literature, Math and Foreign Language without the coefficient, maximum 30 points. For specialized schools, this is the total of three subjects plus the specialized subject score multiplied by the coefficient 2. For details on the admission scores of the schools, candidates can see HERE.
Accordingly, Kim Lien High School and Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong both have the highest standard score at 25.5 points (average 8.5 points/subject to pass); Phan Dinh Phung High School and Viet Duc High School both have 25.25 points; Yen Hoa High School and Nguyen Gia Thieu High School are both at 25 points; Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (24.75 points); Thang Long High School (24.25 points)...

Commenting on the score distribution and benchmark scores this year, Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong - Principal of Thai Thinh Secondary School (Dong Da, Hanoi) shared that with the benchmark scores for admission of 115 public high schools announced by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, it shows that the exam questions have met the requirements of the new program and are consistent with students' school selection trends.
"This is the first exam organized for students studying under the 2018 General Education Program. Right from the organization of the exam proctoring stage with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language, the majority of people, teachers and candidates assessed that the exam questions were close to the new requirements, not too challenging but still ensuring classification. This will be a good premise for the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to continue to successfully organize the exam in the following years" - Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong shared.

According to Ms. Ta Thi Thanh Binh, Principal of Thanh Xuan Secondary School (Noi Bai, Hanoi), the city's exam score distribution and benchmark scores this year are very harmonious and reasonable.
Although this is the first year of enrollment under the new program, this year's 2k10 students have encountered many difficulties due to several years of online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The school has directed free exam review classes for students at school, so that students and their parents do not worry.
"The exam questions this year were quite good and within our students' ability, so our students did quite well, with their exam results significantly higher than last school year. One student got a fairly high score of 27.5 points with 10 points in English, 8 points in Literature and 9.5 points in Math. I am very happy because the percentage of students in my school passing the 10th grade entrance exam is very high" - Ms. Ta Thi Thanh Binh said.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training will receive appeal applications until July 10, and the appeal results will be available by July 28 at the latest. Successful candidates will complete admission procedures online or in person from July 10 to 12. Schools that do not meet their quota will meet to review additional benchmark scores on July 17.
