At the award ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang Minh - Executive Director of Production and Head of Net Zero Project Vinamilk - said that the award is a recognition of the company's efforts in reporting and disclosing information, and good governance practices on environmental - social - governance (ESG). Sustainable performance for 12 consecutive years
Since the publication of its first Sustainable Development Report in 2012, Vinamilk has always been in the Top 3 best-rated companies. In the category of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Disclosure, Vinamilk is the only enterprise and has been leading for 3 consecutive years.
Another notable point is that although the number of separate sustainability reports this year has increased to a record, from 21 to 33 units, only 2 enterprises set emission targets based on SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) standards, including Vinamilk. This affirms the strong commitment of enterprises to reduce emissions according to international standards.

These international standards not only help increase comprehensiveness and transparency, but also make the reports more trustworthy to readers.
Net Zero - more than just a commitment
Vinamilk's award-winning report this year has the theme "Mindfulness, Action - Net Zero 2050" and "Net Zero 2050" is also the prominent keyword of 2024. Towards the goal of Net Zero 2050, the company is promoting emission reductions throughout the entire supply chain as well as expanding carbon sinks through reforestation activities.

The commitment to reach Net Zero 2050 was officially made by the enterprise in 2023, but more than 10 years before that, Vinamilk had started implementing actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, inventory and measure emissions, and consider sustainable development as a strategy in investing in factories, farms, production technology...
