VinFast is about to export 1,800 more VF8 cars to the US and Canada

On April 15, VinFast announced that the next batch of 1,800 standard VF 8 cars for the US and Canadian markets is being gathered at MPC Port, Hai Phong to be loaded onto the familiar Silver Queen ship with the VinFast logo. The ship is expected to depart in the next few days.

According to the plan, this batch of cars will arrive at the port and be sold in the US market in May. It is expected that in June, the car will be sold in the Canadian market. VinFast VF 8 is a high-end electric SUV in segment D. This standard version has a longer travel range than the VF 8 City Edition currently sold in North America with a travel distance of 470km for one charge according to WLTP standards. The car is integrated with an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), a suite of smart utilities and entertainment applications (Smart Services) and will be continuously updated with free software (FOTA) to upgrade car features and customer experience. Previously, on November 25, 2022, also at MPC Port, VinFast exported the first batch of smart electric cars, including 999 VF 8 City Edition cars to the international market by Panama's chartered ship Silver Queen. This is the first batch of cars exported to the international market out of 65,000 orders for VinFast VF 8 and VF 9 electric cars worldwide.

On March 2, 2023, VinFast delivered the first 45 VF 8 City Edition cars to US customers at 9 VinFast Stores, officially launching the North American market. The next VF 8 cars will be delivered to VinFast stores or to customers' homes in the coming days. VinFast said that in the first 3 months of 2023, it delivered a total of 865 VF 8 cars to customers nationwide. In Vietnam, VinFast VF 8 has two versions, VF 8 Eco and VF 8 Plus, and both have the option of having a battery or renting a battery. The selling price of VF 8 Eco without battery (customers rent the battery) is 1.129 billion VND, the price with battery is 1.459 billion VND; The selling price of VF 8 Plus without battery is 1.309 billion VND and the price with battery is 1.639 billion VND. VinFast VF 8 is also the car model that GSM Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company has just officially put into operation as the first pure electric taxi service in Vietnam - Xanh SM operating from April 14 in Hanoi , then continuing to open in Ho Chi Minh City this April and will cover at least 5 provinces and cities across the country this year.
