Ly Quoc commune suffered more than 1.2 billion VND in damage due to storms and rains - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

Due to the impact of storm No. 10, Ly Quoc commune experienced prolonged heavy rain, causing landslides on many roads and crops to be deeply submerged in water. The total damage caused by the storm in the whole commune is estimated at more than 1.2 billion VND.

Prolonged heavy rain caused landslides on many roads in the commune, such as: National Highway 4A at the intersection of the gas station in Bang Ca hamlet, Ban Nha hamlet road, Luoc Khenh, Dong Bien... all had landslides on the positive slope; the road through Nguom Bang cave was deeply flooded; in Bang Ca hamlet, a house had a landslide behind it.

Agricultural production was damaged with nearly 80 hectares of crops submerged in water. Of these, 59.69 hectares of rice; 12.5 hectares of corn; 6.7 hectares of soybeans; and 1.2 hectares of peanuts.

The storm caused many trees to fall, blocking inter-village roads, hindering travel and posing a potential traffic safety risk. Authorities and people have urgently cleared the roads to ensure traffic flow.

Ly Quoc commune authorities support people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

The commune's disaster prevention and control command board inspected the scene; directed hamlets to focus on implementing the "4 on-site" motto; on duty 24/7 to be ready to rescue and evacuate flooded households and their properties to safety.

The Commune People's Committee continues to monitor developments and deploy forces to respond to natural disasters. At the same time, it recommends that the province provide financial support to overcome the consequences and help people stabilize their lives.
