Binh Son opens 14 safe swimming classes

Implementing the Project "Implementing effective and sustainable interventions to prevent child drowning in Binh Son commune, An Giang province", on October 5, the Department of Culture and Society of Binh Son commune organized the opening of 14 safe swimming classes to prevent drowning for 280 children aged 6-15 in the commune.

The children are participating in safe swimming lessons to prevent drowning accidents.

According to Bui Thanh Tien, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Binh Son commune: The project "Implementing effective and sustainable interventions to prevent child drowning in Binh Son commune, An Giang province" is funded by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (USA). The project will run from October to December 2025. In Binh Son commune, 14 classes will be organized for 280 students across 4 primary and secondary schools in the commune.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, swimming instructors guided the children through warm-up exercises before swimming; safe swimming skills; and how to handle dangerous situations underwater. This helped the children improve their health, prevent drowning accidents, and ensure their safety.
