Opening Ceremony of the First Congress of Women's Representatives of An Giang Province, term 2025 - 2030

On the morning of December 12th, at the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Hall, the First Congress of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union, for the term 2025-2030, officially opened, with the participation of 300 outstanding delegates from the women's movement, representing more than 721,000 cadres, members, and women throughout the province.

Attending the congress were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province; Mr. Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province; former provincial leaders; leaders of the Provincial Women's Union from various periods; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

In her opening remarks at the congress, the Chairwoman of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union, Truong Thanh Thuy, stated that, guided by the motto "Unity - Innovation - Creativity - Development," the First Congress of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union has the task of objectively and comprehensively summarizing and evaluating the women's movement and the activities of the Union; deciding on goals, targets, tasks, and solutions for the next term in a scientific , practical manner that meets the requirements of the revolutionary tasks in the new period. At the same time, it will contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union and the revised and supplemented Charter of the Vietnam Women's Union.

The Congress conducted a thorough review of the leadership and guidance of the Provincial Women's Union Executive Committee during the 2021-2025 period, drawing lessons learned for the leadership and guidance of the first Executive Committee, term 2025-2030.

Over the past period, with the close attention and guidance of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Women's Union at all levels has promoted a spirit of solidarity, dynamism, and creativity; proactively innovated the content and methods of operation, and led the women's movement to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws. They have effectively implemented the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Resolution of the Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union for the period 2021-2025, making important contributions to economic, cultural, and social development, building the political system, and ensuring national defense and security…

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the President, the Vice President, and the Inspection Committee; and the decision to appoint delegates to the 14th National Congress of Women's Representatives, term 2026 - 2031.
