Stop organizing the Conference on Summary of Reading Culture Development to ensure safety before storm No. 11

On October 5, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 5255/ BVHTTDL-VHCSGĐTV to the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs; Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies; People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on stopping the organization of the Conference to Summarize the Project on Developing Reading Culture in the Community and the Preliminary Review of the Digital Transformation Program in the Library Sector.

On September 26, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Invitation No. 261/GM-BVHTTDL inviting to attend the Conference to Summarize the Project on Developing Reading Culture in the Community and the Preliminary Review of the Digital Transformation Program in the Library Sector for the period 2021-2025, scheduled to be held in Da Nang city from October 8 to 9, 2025.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 186/CD-TTg dated October 4, 2025 of the Prime Minister on proactively responding to storm No. 11 in 2025; considering the actual situation, especially the risk of natural disasters and floods caused by storm No. 11 in some localities, posing great risks to the safety of delegates attending and the organization; to ensure absolute safety and the work of preventing and combating natural disasters, floods and storms according to the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to stop organizing the Conference to Summarize the Project on Developing Reading Culture in the Community and the Preliminary Review of the Digital Transformation Program in the Library Sector for the period 2021 - 2025 scheduled in Da Nang City from October 8 to 9, 2025.
