On October 26th, at the Co Chien Border Guard Station ( Vinh Long Provincial Border Guard Command), the Station Command launched the "Zero-Cost Border Guard Ambulance" model to promote effective community outreach, in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of Vietnam Nurses' Day (October 26, 1990 - October 26, 2025).
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Trieu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Vinh Long province, said that putting the "Border Guard's Zero-Cost Ambulance" model into operation will create favorable conditions for transporting and providing emergency medical care to patients and victims in remote areas, especially in coastal border communes such as Thanh Phong and Thanh Hai, contributing to ensuring social welfare and building more trust of the people in the Border Guard force.
At the same time, the model not only contributes to timely rescue of people in times of crisis, but also profoundly demonstrates the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era, strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people in the coastal border areas.

Mr. Vo Ngoc Ben, from Thanh Hoa hamlet, Thanh Phong commune, shared that people in the coastal border area face many difficulties in transportation when their illness becomes critical.
Therefore, the "Zero-Cost Border Guard Ambulance" model of the Co Chien Border Guard Station will promptly support people, especially those from poor households and disadvantaged families, ensuring they receive timely emergency care in times of trouble and better healthcare.
According to the Command of Co Chien Border Guard Station, in implementing the policy of the Vinh Long Provincial Border Guard on promoting the "Skilled People's Mobilization" emulation movement, the "Zero-Cost Border Guard Ambulance" model was developed by Co Chien Border Guard Station to support emergency medical care and transport patients in the coastal border area under the station's management who have urgent medical needs.
This model demonstrates the spirit of mutual support and compassion of the officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Post towards the people in the area.
At the event, the Command Board of Co Chien Border Guard Station announced the Decision to establish an Ambulance Driver Team, introduced the model, and launched the vehicle used in the model.
