The cooperation between two leading prestigious brands in the field of vaccination and medical nutrition is expected to bring many practical medical solutions, especially supporting children's physical and intellectual development in the best way.
This is also a specific action to realize the key goals in the National Nutrition Strategy and the Strategy for Protecting, Caring for, and Improving the Health of the Whole People for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045.
The strategy emphasizes the role of developing the stature, physical strength and intelligence of Vietnamese people, while enhancing proactive disease prevention and reducing inequality in access to health services.
In the context of the Vietnamese nutritional market still having many fluctuations and challenges when cases of fake milk and poor quality food are continuously discovered, this cooperation is even more meaningful when it brings consumers more choices of genuine medical nutritional milk, 100% imported from Switzerland with superior quality.
Nestlé Health Science products are specially designed to suit different ages and physical conditions, meeting the strict nutritional needs of the community from children to the elderly and people with underlying diseases.
According to the agreement, the two sides will simultaneously deploy a series of activities to raise awareness about nutrition for young children at VNVC vaccination centers nationwide. These programs will have the participation of leading doctors and experts in the fields of vaccination and nutrition domestically and internationally.
In addition, people will have easy access to premium nutritional products such as Nutren Junior for children aged 1-10 or Boost Optimum for adults, through the VNVC SHOP convenience store system that has just been put into operation at vaccination centers as well as on online sales channels.
Mr. Zubin Trikha, Head of Specialty Nutrition at Nestlé Health Science Vietnam, shared that the unit will deploy a nutrition and health consulting tool to support families in choosing the right diet, focusing especially on the important developmental stages of young children to promote healthy growth and development in the early years of life.
He emphasized that through cooperation with VNVC, we hope to contribute to positive changes in the community's nutritional awareness and behavior, especially among children. Combining scientific nutrition and proactive disease prevention is the key to comprehensive development for future generations.
Dr. Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of VNVC Vaccination System, said that in addition to providing safe and quality vaccination services to millions of families each year, VNVC is constantly looking for comprehensive solutions to improve the quality of life and provide international standard health care that is easily accessible to the people.
The partnership with Nestlé Health Science will expand the range of quality nutritional products that support enhanced immunity and health, especially for young children and those requiring special care.”
Previously, VNVC also signed cooperation agreements with many large domestic and foreign nutrition corporations, thereby diversifying the supply of high-quality nutritional products, porridge and weaning foods, contributing to improving the health and immunity of the community, especially in the treatment and recovery process for patients.
Scientific nutrition and proactive vaccination are considered two important pillars in building a solid health foundation for each individual and the whole society.
Early, proper and effective nutritional care, especially in the first years of life, not only helps children develop optimally physically and mentally but also lays the foundation for a generation of healthy, intelligent citizens, future owners who contribute to building a prosperous nation and deeply integrating with the world .
However, Vietnam is still facing many nutritional challenges. Recent surveys show that the average height of Vietnamese youth is still low compared to the global average (168.1 cm for men and 156.2 cm for women).
More worryingly, 1 in 5 children are stunted. Premature birth is the leading cause of death in children under 5 years of age, and many premature babies who survive suffer lifelong disabilities due to a lack of adequate medical care.
These problems not only affect physical development but also weaken the immune system, increasing the risk of infectious and chronic diseases in adulthood.
With this strategic cooperation, VNVC and Nestlé Health Science hope to contribute to creating positive and sustainable changes in nutrition and public health in Vietnam, towards a healthy future and sustainable development.
