(CPV) - On October 27, Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) held a ceremony to honor 580 students who "overcame difficulties and studied well" in the 2023-2024 school year in Dong Nai .

Of which, VRG honored 180 students who passed the university entrance exam with scores of 26 or higher; 331 students with excellent grades; 6 students who won high prizes in national and Olympic competitions; 63 students who overcame difficulties, studied well, and were in especially difficult circumstances.
Mr. Huynh Kim Nhut, Deputy General Director of VRG, Chairman of Vietnam Rubber Trade Union, said that determining the work of promoting education and talents as building a foundation for sustainable development for the future of the group and the country, in 2012, the 28.10 Education Promotion Association of Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) was established. After 12 years of operation, up to now, more than 6,200 students with excellent academic achievements have been recognized.
According to Mr. Nhut, currently, the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group produces and trades in 5 main business areas: rubber planting, processing, and trading; wood processing; rubber industrial products; investment and business in industrial park infrastructure; high-tech agriculture . In the coming time, VRG will need a highly qualified human resource in management and executive positions, so VRG leaders hope that generations of students who are recognized and awarded scholarships will accompany the group, following in the footsteps of previous generations.
"I believe that in the coming time, the movement to encourage learning and talent in units together with the October 28th Learning Promotion Association of the group will increasingly attract greater attention from supporting units inside and outside the industry. Thereby, we will take better care of and create stronger motivation for students to overcome difficulties, improve their virtues, and return to contribute to the sustainable development of the group and the prosperity of the country," said Mr. Nhut.
The movements of the 28-10 Learning Promotion Association are the driving force to promote the spirit of learning of the students, contributing to the development of education , improving people's knowledge, training human resources, nurturing talents for the unit, for the group and for the country. At the same time, it is also the driving force to help the parents of the students feel excited and secure in their work, striving to excellently complete the assigned tasks. The long-term goal of the 28-10 Learning Promotion Association is to have a stable fund source, the support and sponsorship activities of the Association will not only be limited to students with high scores, overcoming difficulties, and studying well as at present, but also expand to those with excellent achievements at 5 levels of education, raising the level of commendation and rewards, promoting the work of encouraging talents...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Hung, General Director of VRG emphasized: “The achievements that the students have achieved today are extremely valuable and proud. However, these are just the first steps on the journey to approach science and life. I hope that the students honored today in particular and the children of cadres, civil servants and employees of the Group in general will always be aware of cultivating morality, improving health, accumulating knowledge, innovating learning methods, nurturing aspirations and dreams to be worthy of being the future owners of the country…
Hopefully, with these encouragements and rewards, the children will continue to strive to study better to not disappoint the trust of the leaders and parents. The Group and its member units where their parents are working always value talents and create favorable conditions for them to have stable jobs after graduation, join hands to develop the rubber industry, and preserve and promote the traditional family values of the Vietnamese rubber industry.
