Farmers' associations at all levels have mobilized the establishment of nearly 50 clubs for skilled farmers in production and business.

Innovation from thinking to action.

In recent times, the work of the Farmers' Association and the farmers' movement in the city has undergone a strong transformation. Associations at all levels have focused on innovating the content and methods of their activities, orienting towards the grassroots, and prioritizing the effectiveness, quality, and rights of members and farmers. Political and ideological education and propaganda have been reformed and diversified through various forms of information dissemination, including branch and group activities, clubs, and the digital platform "Vietnamese Farmers". Through these efforts, thousands of members have accessed official information, contributing to raising awareness of the role and position of farmers in agricultural development and the construction of new rural areas.

Leveraging the strength from the grassroots, propaganda and mobilization work has been effectively implemented by all levels of the association, with 100% of members being informed and educated about the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Movements such as "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas," "Green Sunday," "Say no to plastic bags and plastic waste," and "Farmers' self-managed roads"... have spread strongly, contributing to building a "bright, green, clean, and beautiful" rural Hue.

Furthermore, the organization of the Farmers' Association at all levels has been streamlined and improved, operating effectively to meet the requirements of the new situation. As of July 2025, 39 out of 40 communes and wards in the city have grassroots Farmers' Association organizations, with over 7,800 new members admitted. In addition, 20 new professional Farmers' Association branches and 85 professional associations have been established, contributing to diversifying forms of farmer mobilization and promoting the role of farmers in production and business linkages.

Mr. Phan Xuan Nam, Vice Chairman of the Hue City Farmers' Association, said: "We always consider the grassroots level as the foundation of all movements. Each strong branch and group will create momentum for the entire system. Innovating working methods and focusing strongly on the grassroots level is aimed at improving the quality of life for farmers and building a more substantive and effective association."

Towards a strong and comprehensive organization.

Along with content innovation, the City's Farmers' Association places special emphasis on building a team of officials with the necessary qualities, capabilities, and dedication to the farmers' movement. Currently, 100% of the association's officials throughout the city have received training and professional development in association work; they regularly update their knowledge on digital transformation, collective economy , circular agriculture, and organic farming.

Farmers' associations at all levels have integrated digital transformation into their work, strengthening the application of digital platforms in communication, membership management, and operational activities. Currently, the entire city has 35,105 activated farmer membership accounts on the "Vietnamese Farmers" digital platform, facilitating information sharing, product promotion, and agricultural product consumption.

The various levels of the association have mobilized the establishment of nearly 50 clubs for skilled farmers in production and business, with over 1,000 members regularly exchanging and sharing production experiences. Hundreds of poor farming households have received support in terms of capital, supplies, and employment, and 976 poor households have been helped to improve their lives and achieve stability.

One of the highlights of the City's Farmers' Association is the innovation and diversification of its services, consulting, and support for farmers. During the 2023-2025 period, the City's Farmers' Support Fund increased by 9.5 billion VND, raising the total capital to nearly 40 billion VND, currently managed for lending to 198 group household projects, supporting 933 farmer households in developing production and business. The Association also coordinated with banks to provide unsecured loans totaling over 1,896 billion VND, helping farmers expand production and business, contributing to reducing the prevalence of illegal lending in rural areas.

The Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association has signed a cooperation program with Que Lam Group to support farmers in developing organic and circular economy agricultural production. 45 production-consumption linkage models along the value chain have been supported and developed, contributing to promoting green and sustainable agriculture.

Local farmers' associations are also a core force in the movement to donate land, build roads, and improve rural infrastructure. During the period 2023-2025, farmers' association members throughout the city donated over 194,000 m² of land and contributed more than 38,000 man-days of labor, contributing to the concrete paving and reinforcement of over 67 km of roads and irrigation canals – impressive figures demonstrating the sense of responsibility and the desire to contribute of Hue farmers.

According to Mr. Phan Xuan Nam, for the 2025-2030 term, the Hue City Farmers' Association will continue to set goals of building a clean and strong organization, developing an additional 8,000 new members, establishing 100 professional associations and 27 professional branches, and increasing the Farmers' Support Fund by an average of 10% per year… To achieve these goals, the association at all levels will continue to innovate its operating methods, focusing on the grassroots level, enhancing the role of leaders, promoting digital transformation in association work, and concentrating on guiding and supporting farmers to develop effective economic models, agricultural startups, and building advanced new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

With a strong foundation at the grassroots level and innovative thinking and methods, the Hue City Farmers' Association is gradually asserting its core role and serving as a solid support for the peasant class in the new era, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of Hue City.
