Farmers' associations at all levels have mobilized the establishment of nearly 50 clubs of good farmers in production and business.

Innovation from thinking to action

In recent times, the work of the association and the farmers' movement in the city has made strong changes. Associations at all levels have focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, taking the effectiveness, quality and interests of members and farmers as the center. Propaganda and political and ideological education work has been innovated, diversifying information forms, through models, branch activities, association groups, clubs and the digital platform "Vietnamese Farmers". Thereby, thousands of members have had access to official information, contributing to raising awareness of the role and position of farmers in agricultural development and new rural construction.

Promoting the strength from the grassroots, propaganda and mobilization work has been effectively implemented by all levels of the association with 100% of members being propagandized and disseminated the Party's policies and the State's laws. The movements "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", "Green Sunday", "Say no to plastic bags and plastic waste", "Self-managed farmer roads"... have spread strongly, contributing to building Hue's countryside "bright - green - clean - beautiful".

In addition, the association organizations at all levels have been consolidated, streamlined, and operated effectively, meeting the requirements of the new situation. As of July 2025, the whole city has 39/40 communes and wards with grassroots-level farmer associations, with more than 7,800 new members admitted. Along with that, 20 new professional farmer associations and 85 professional associations have been established, contributing to diversifying the forms of gathering farmers and promoting the role of farmers in linking production and business.

Mr. Phan Xuan Nam, Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hue City, said: "We always consider the grassroots as the foundation of every movement. Each strong branch and association will create momentum for the entire system. Innovating the method of operation and focusing on the grassroots is aiming at the goal of improving the quality of farmers' lives and building a more substantial and effective association."

Towards a strong and comprehensive association

Along with content innovation, the city's Farmers' Association pays special attention to building a team of cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity, and enthusiasm for the farmers' movement. Currently, 100% of the city's association cadres have been trained in association work; regularly updating knowledge on digital transformation, collective economy , circular and organic agriculture.

Associations at all levels have applied digital transformation to association work, increasing the application of digital platforms in propaganda, member management, and operation. Currently, the whole city has 35,105 farmer member accounts activated on the digital platform "Vietnamese Farmers", helping to connect information, promote products, and consume agricultural products more conveniently.

The association at all levels has mobilized the establishment of nearly 50 clubs of good farmers and businessmen, with more than 1,000 members regularly exchanging and sharing production experiences. Hundreds of poor farming households have been supported with capital, materials, and jobs, with 976 poor households being helped to stabilize their lives.

One of the bright spots of the City Farmers' Association is the innovation and diversification of service activities, consulting and supporting farmers. In the period of 2023 - 2025, the City Farmers' Support Fund increased by 9.5 billion VND, bringing the total capital to nearly 40 billion VND, currently being managed for loans at 198 household group projects, supporting 933 farming households to develop production and business. The Association also coordinated with credit banks to lend more than 1,896 billion VND, helping farmers expand production and business, contributing to limiting the situation of black credit in rural areas.

The city's HND has signed a cooperation program with the Que Lam Group to support farmers in developing organic agricultural production and circular economy. 45 models of linking production and consumption of products according to the value chain have been supported to build, contributing to promoting green and sustainable agriculture.

The grassroots associations are also the core force in the movement of donating land, opening roads, and improving rural infrastructure. In the period of 2023 - 2025, farmers' association members in the city donated over 194,000 square meters of land, contributed more than 38,000 working days, and contributed to concreting and solidifying over 67 kilometers of roads and intra-field canals - impressive numbers demonstrating the sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute of Hue farmers.

According to Mr. Phan Xuan Nam, in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Farmers' Association of Hue City continues to set the goal of building a clean and strong association, developing 8,000 new members, establishing 100 professional associations, 27 professional branches, increasing the Farmers' Support Fund by an average of 10%/year... To achieve that goal, the association at all levels continues to innovate its operating methods, focusing on the grassroots, enhancing the role of leaders, promoting digital transformation in association work, focusing on guiding and supporting farmers to develop effective economic models, agricultural startups, building advanced new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Strong from the base, innovative from thinking to doing, the city's Farmers' Association is gradually affirming its core role, a solid support for the peasant class in the new period, contributing to building Hue city to develop quickly and sustainably.
