The unit thoroughly implements the resolutions and directives of the Party; links the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style with the promotion of the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new situation; focuses on improving the quality of training and combat readiness, and building the unit in the direction of being "lean, efficient, and strong".

Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commander of the 3rd Division, stated: "In 2026, the Division was honored to be selected by the Ministry of National Defense as a model unit in all aspects of its work. This is a recognition of the unit's efforts, and at the same time sets higher demands for innovation in leadership, command, and troop management methods, building a standardized force, and improving overall quality. The Division's Party Committee and command always use training results and combat readiness as a measure of the quality of mission completion."

Witnessing a nighttime tactical training session of Company 10, Battalion 9, Regiment 141, Division 3, we saw the sense of responsibility and proficiency of the officers and soldiers. Under the flashlight beams, each squad and platoon moved swiftly according to orders; their clothes were drenched in sweat, but the soldiers' footsteps remained quick and decisive. Driven by the need to improve training quality, the Division regularly reinforces training grounds, practice areas, models, and training aids in a standardized manner; and promotes the movement to develop initiatives and technical improvements. In 2025 alone, the unit approved and recognized 35 initiatives, including 5 initiatives applying artificial intelligence to management and training. Annual inspection results showed 100% of the content met requirements, with over 80% achieving good or excellent ratings.

Alongside its training and combat readiness duties, the Division places special emphasis on building a politically strong unit. The thorough understanding and implementation of resolutions and directives are carried out seriously, linked to the "Determined to Win" Emulation Movement. The "Beautiful Star Soldier" movement has become a highlight, contributing to the creation of a healthy, united, and disciplined military cultural environment. Many models such as: "Zalo Group - Accompanying Soldiers," "Three-Person Teams Working Together," "Stories from the Company," "Psychological and Legal Counseling Team," "Letters to the Home Front," etc., are effectively maintained, contributing to raising awareness, building close camaraderie, and reducing disciplinary violations. Furthermore, the Division is a vanguard force in civilian affairs, assisting the people. Each year, the unit mobilizes tens of thousands of man-days from officers and soldiers to help the people build new rural areas, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and conduct search and rescue operations. Logistical and technical support is ensured in a coordinated and systematic manner.

With the results and achievements attained, many collectives and individuals of the 3rd Division have been recognized and awarded numerous titles and prizes by various levels. In 2025, the Division was awarded a commendation flag by the Ministry of National Defense, affirming the quality of building a strong unit, always ready to receive and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
