Cat Tien National Park was honored in the categories: Biodiversity Conservation Category, this is the highest award for the continuous efforts in biodiversity conservation, protecting typical tropical forest ecosystems, home to hundreds of rare species.

Cat Tien National Park is home to many rare and strictly protected herbivore species.
