Amidst the alternating sunny and rainy days, a bustling atmosphere of hard work permeates the construction sites building houses for the people. After more than two weeks of implementation, the "Quang Trung Campaign" is entering its final phase with a resolute and coordinated spirit. Many new houses are gradually taking shape, bringing with them faith and hope for a stable life after the natural disaster.
To expedite implementation, the Dak Lak Provincial Police recently reinforced its efforts by deploying an additional 140 officers, soldiers, and youth union members from various operational units to support key areas.
Construction conditions in many areas were extremely difficult. Many collapsed houses were located deep within residential areas, and the roads were narrow, slippery, and muddy after the floods. Machinery could not access the sites, so officers and soldiers had to use makeshift carts and trailers, or even carry bags of cement and bundles of steel on their shoulders to bring materials to the construction site.
Officer Tran Quoc Tuan, from the Firefighting and Rescue Team Area 3 (Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police), shared: “The team members understand that this is not only a duty but also a responsibility and an expression of the police officers' affection for the people. The work is arduous and the time is tight, but everyone is united and determined to complete it on schedule so that the people can have stable housing soon.”

Participating in the "Quang Trung Campaign," the Military School of Military Region 5 undertook the construction of five new houses for local residents. To date, the unit has completed approximately 80% of the rough construction. Colonel Nguyen Minh Hien, Deputy Head of the school, said: "The unit deployed 90 officers and soldiers to Dak Lak to participate in building and repairing houses for the people. To meet the deadline, the officers and soldiers are coordinating with the local authorities and homeowners to work three shifts with the goal of completing the project as quickly as possible."
In Hoa Thinh commune, one of the areas heavily affected by the recent floods, construction teams are accelerating their work every day. From early morning to late afternoon, the sounds of concrete mixers, hammers, and the urgent labor of officials, soldiers, youth union members, and volunteers fill the air. Many houses have completed their basic structure and are now entering the finishing stages of roofing, plastering walls, and installing electrical and plumbing systems, exceeding the initial schedule.
According to statistics from Hoa Thinh commune, out of a total of 112 houses built and renovated under the "Quang Trung Campaign," approximately 90 houses have reached 50-80% completion, with many exceeding the planned schedule. It is expected that within the next 10 days, a series of houses will be handed over to residents for use. The Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of the commune, Phuong Van Lanh, stated that to ensure the campaign continues smoothly and reaches its goal early, the commune's Party committee and government are proactively coordinating closely with the military, police, youth union members, mass organizations, and volunteer forces; while also leveraging the role of village Party branches and the Fatherland Front in identifying eligible recipients, organizing construction, and providing labor support.
In the newly completed house of Mrs. Tran Thi Duyet (87 years old, residing in Team 2, Phu Huu village), about 10 officers and soldiers from the 655 Transport Brigade and Warehouse K52 (Logistics and Technical Department, Military Region 5) are diligently working. Each wall is plastered smooth, each brick is carefully laid, and the electrical system is installed safely. Mrs. Duyet couldn't help but be moved: "I didn't expect the house to be built so quickly. For almost a month now, the soldiers have been working without a day off. Now that the house is almost finished, I'm so happy."
With the goal of completing the reconstruction of 200 houses that were completely destroyed before January 20, 2026, Colonel Nguyen Khoi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, said that the unit has launched a high-intensity emulation campaign to implement the "Quang Trung Campaign". The entire provincial police force will continue to uphold a sense of responsibility, proactively coordinate closely with departments, localities, and supporting forces, and concentrate maximum manpower and resources to participate in building houses for the people.
According to Cao Dinh Huy, Director of the Department of Construction, in its role as a coordinating agency, the Provincial Department of Construction continues to mobilize sources of construction materials such as sand, stone, cement, and bricks, and to mobilize labor from contractors to serve the construction. The Department also proactively coordinates with localities in coordinating materials and allocating manpower appropriately according to each area and each stage; prioritizing resources for difficult areas, ensuring progress goes hand in hand with the quality of the project.
