Out of 30 students from the commune who participated in the Provincial-level Excellent Student Selection Exam for Secondary Schools in the 2025-2026 school year, 24 won prizes, including: 2 second prizes, 12 third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes. This result demonstrates the proactive approach of schools in the area in identifying and nurturing gifted students from an early age to create a talent pool.
At Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, the training of gifted students is systematically implemented from grade 6 through the selection and classification of students combined with flexible teaching methods. As a result, grade 8 students won awards in competitions; grade 9 students won awards at the provincial level in the 2025-2026 school year.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, the school principal, in addition to equipping students with knowledge, the school focuses on fostering a passion for learning, helping students set clear goals, and strengthening cooperation with parents to build an effective learning environment.

Recognizing that identifying and nurturing gifted students is a key task in improving the quality of advanced education , Le Hong Phong Secondary School has developed a phased training plan, proactively selecting capable students early on to create a suitable preparation roadmap. Simultaneously, the school prioritizes a learning environment that fosters creative thinking, enhances self-learning abilities, and encourages the application of knowledge to practical situations.
With the school's focused and targeted investment, in the 2025-2026 school year, students of Le Hong Phong Secondary School achieved 3 national-level awards and 64 provincial-level awards in the student excellence competition, the science and technology research competition, and many online competitions.
A prime example is Tran Thai Khanh Dang (a student in class 8D, Le Hong Phong Secondary School), who excellently won second prize in Natural Science at the provincial level while participating in the advanced-level exam for the 9th grade curriculum. In addition, he also possesses an impressive "collection" of medals including: a Silver Medal in the provincial-level VioEdu competition, a Bronze Medal in the provincial-level Violympic Natural Science competition, and an Encouragement Award in the national-level Violympic Mathematics competition for the 2025-2026 school year.

Another outstanding figure in the local education sector is Le Dinh Van (9D class, Ly Tu Trong Secondary School), who achieved a Bronze Medal at the 7th Central-Western Highlands Informatics Olympiad held in Da Nang City in April 2026.
Mr. Le Huy Chien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Pơng Drang commune, affirmed that, along with the efforts of teachers and students, the commune government always accompanies schools in the cause of "nurturing future generations".
