On May 22nd, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches (BQL) reported that during the peak tourist season, there is still a problem of people littering and leaving sharp objects in the service business area, causing a loss of aesthetics and posing potential safety risks to locals and tourists visiting My Khe beach.

Currently, the Management Board is actively implementing additional measures to address this situation. The unit requires organizations and individuals providing services to install trash cans in public areas, place small trash bins at customer service tables, add sand sifting equipment in business areas; and display promotional slogans in areas with umbrellas and chairs.
The Management Board recommends that organizations and individuals providing services use environmentally friendly materials, and avoid using sharp objects, plastic straws, and plastic bags in their businesses to ensure a civilized and safe tourism environment; it also calls on businesses to install cameras on the beach to coordinate the dissemination of information, reminders, and handling of violations related to security, order, and environmental hygiene on the beach.
Previously, residents reported stepping on sharp objects on My Khe beach, and the area also had a lot of trash such as bottle caps and cigarette butts, posing a danger and detracting from the aesthetics and hygiene of the environment.
It is known that My Khe beach was once voted by the American business magazine Forbes as one of the 6 most attractive beaches on the planet.
