Immediately after discovering the incident on the night of August 26, 2025, the commune authorities and relevant forces went directly to the scene to direct the response and remediation efforts. The commune mobilized all available forces, equipment, and materials (such as sandbags, soil, tarpaulins, bamboo stakes, etc.), and coordinated closely with the unit managing and operating the Hoang Kim sluice gate, Song Chu One-Member Limited Liability Company, along with the timely support of officers and soldiers of Regiment 923, to urgently handle and reinforce the collapsed section.
Thanks to timely guidance and coordinated efforts from all forces, the section of the canal that had collapsed was repaired by approximately 3:00 AM on August 27, 2025. Sao Vang commune continues to direct and deploy forces to be on duty 24/7 at critical locations to respond promptly; proactively develop contingency plans; and continue to mobilize forces to inspect and survey high-risk areas, promptly detecting any unusual developments or incidents to take urgent action to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, and minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
Previously, Sao Vang commune had also urgently and decisively implemented comprehensive measures to address the problem of rising water levels in the Nha Le River, causing flooding across the section of road crossing the Nha Le River dike (the area near the bridge from Bot Thuong village to Bich Phuong village). As of 24:00 on August 26th, the local authorities had directed and assisted in relocating a total of 94 households (including 76 households in low-lying areas and 18 households at risk of landslides), 2 farms, and mooring 14 boats on the river to safe locations.
