Among the teams that have qualified for the finals, Japan, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Iran and Afghanistan have all won in the qualifying round.

In contrast, the Lebanese futsal team qualified for the finals with only 4 points in Group E of the qualifying round. They only won one match (2-1 against the Chinese futsal team), drew one match (1-1 against Hong Kong) and lost one match (0-4 against the Vietnamese futsal team). Lebanon's goal difference in Group E was 3-6 (-3).

However, when considering the results between the second-placed teams, the results between the second-placed team and the bottom-placed teams in each group will be eliminated (as Group H only has 3 teams, not 4 like the other groups). Therefore, Lebanon was hardly affected, after the 1-1 draw with the bottom team of Group E, Hong Kong, was not counted.

At this time, Lebanon's score when considering the second-placed teams is 3 points, the goal difference is 2-5 (-3). Thanks to this score and goal difference, Lebanon is ranked above two Southeast Asian teams including Malaysia (second in Group G, 3 points, goal difference 1/4) and Myanmar (second in Group H, 3 points, goal difference 7/11). Thanks to that, Lebanon won a ticket to the final round.

As for Myanmar, this team is the only second-placed team up to now that has not yet qualified for the finals, but Myanmar has not been eliminated.

The 2026 AFC Futsal Championship Qualifiers still have one group left to play, Group D, which includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Chinese Taipei and Pakistan. This group will be played in October.

The 2026 AFC Futsal Championship has two remaining spots, one of which will be reserved for the top team in Group D of the qualifying round. The remaining spot will be a contest between the second team in Group D and the Myanmar futsal team. The 2026 AFC Futsal Championship will take place from January 27 to February 7, 2026 in Indonesia.
