In particular, the delicious food contest brought excitement to both domestic and international tourists. 42 chefs from famous restaurants and hotels from the provinces demonstrated their talents in 120 minutes , including appetizers and main dishes (in which the appetizer used Kewpie sauce) , from the use of Binh Thuan specialty ingredients. The dishes must be accompanied by an explanation such as: how to arrange, organize and present the dish, introduce the ingredients, the processing process, the meaning of the dish's name...
After 2 hours of competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the A prize to the chef group Ngo Thi Thanh Liem, with 2 dishes: "Mui Ne fishing village dried squid and mango salad" and "Ta Cu mountain pigeon with moldy banana sauce" with a prize value of 5,000,000 VND and 2 B prizes of 3 million each ; 3 C prizes of 1.5 million each. In addition , there are 5 consolation prizes, 2 creative prizes and 3 prizes sponsored by the head of the jury .
Along with this activity, the Binh Thuan Professional Chefs Association introduced and performed the "Giant" Phan Thiet Hotpot dish ever. At the same time, the Organizing Committee invited 100 diners to enjoy it . This event was announced by the Vietnam Record Institute and awarded a certificate of Asian Record for Phan Thiet Hotpot dish .
This is a famous hot pot dish of Phan Thiet , originating from a rustic dish of the people of the coastal area of Mui Ne - Phan Thiet. The reason for its name is because in the past, fishermen often put what they caught from the sea into a pot, then poured water in and cooked it into a hot pot. Gradually, it has been upgraded to a local specialty, attracting tourists to enjoy. Coming to Phan Thiet, tourists can enjoy hot pot at restaurants, hotels or coastal eateries. The dish has the fresh taste of fish, the fatty taste of meat and vegetables mixed with the thick, fragrant dipping sauce that makes tourists forever impressed, feeling like enjoying all the quintessence of the sea melting in their mouths.

The Provincial People's Committee has prepared a dossier for the dish Lau Tha and sent it to the Asia Records Institute to establish a record according to the criteria of Asian culinary and specialty values . The Asia Records Organization has approved and established an Asian record for the dish Lau Tha Phan Thiet in December 2023 .
