E10 bioethanol fuel is now officially available throughout the Petrolimex system.

Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) has launched the sale of E10 bioethanol fuel across its entire network of owned petrol stations nationwide.

E10 bioethanol fuel has officially been introduced throughout the Petrolimex system.

According to information from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), the introduction of E10 bioethanol fuel throughout the entire system from May 25, 2026, is being implemented in accordance with the Government's directives in Decision No. 46/2025/QD-TTg, Directive No. 09/CT-TTg dated March 19, 2026, and Circular No. 50/2025/TT-BCT dated November 7, 2025, of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of bioethanol with traditional fuels in Vietnam.

Petrolimex's introduction of E10 bioethanol fuel nationwide earlier than the June 1, 2026 deadline stipulated in Circular No. 50/2025/TT-BCT aims to promote the use of biofuels, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and promote a green transition in the energy sector.

Before nationwide rollout, Petrolimex conducted a pilot program for selling E10 bioethanol fuel at several gas stations starting in August 2025 to assess its operational feasibility, technical compatibility, and market feedback. The pilot results showed stable supply and fuel quality meeting regulatory technical requirements. Testing of E10 fuel samples after three months in storage containers confirmed compliance with current technical standards.

To launch the nationwide distribution of E10 gasoline, Petrolimex has reviewed and upgraded its storage tanks, fuel pumps, transportation vehicles, quality management processes, and updated its biofuel usage manual to ensure full compliance with technical regulations and standards. The quality of E10 gasoline is strictly controlled before being released to the market.

With its distribution network fully covered by May 25, 2026, Petrolimex continues to affirm its pioneering role in implementing the directives of the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade in building a clean energy ecosystem, accompanying the national energy transition orientation, and aiming for green growth and sustainable development.
