Building the Ba Dinh bridge connecting Bac Lieu with Kien Giang.

The project was recently approved by the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council at its 23rd session (special session), term 2021-2026, held on February 20th.

Accordingly, the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council unanimously agreed to assign the Provincial People's Committee as the agency responsible for implementing the Ba Dinh Bridge construction project.

The project's starting point is in the center of Vinh Loc A commune (Hong Dan district, Bac Lieu province), and its end point connects to the Cai Lon riverside road (Vinh Thuan district, Kien Giang province).

The Ba Dinh Bridge is 320m long, 15m wide, and designed to withstand a load of over 10 tons; the total investment is over 434 billion VND from central and local government budgets. The project is scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2028.

According to the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee, the bridge, once put into operation, will enhance the effectiveness of the project to build a road from Phuoc Long town to Ba Dinh, Hong Dan district.

The project also creates inter-regional connections, contributing to the strong promotion of economic , cultural, and social development, and ensuring security and defense for the two provinces as well as the entire Mekong Delta region.

Kien Giang invests 3,900 billion VND to build a sea bridge over Rach Gia Bay. The 2.8km long sea bridge connecting Kien Giang and Ca Mau provinces will create conditions for expanding urban space and promoting local socio-economic development.

The 3.2 trillion VND coastal road project in Phu Quoc has been adjusted and supplemented . To ensure compliance with the overall plan, the investment project for the construction of the coastal road on the western side of Phu Quoc Island has been adjusted. In addition to the main route, three branch roads have been added, but this does not increase the total investment of 3.2 trillion VND.

An Giang resolves obstacles for 5 projects mentioned in the inspection report . The People's Committee of An Giang province stated that for 4 out of 5 projects where the Government Inspectorate recommended reassessing land prices to be used as a basis for collecting land use fees, appraisal companies have registered to participate and conduct surveys.
