Among the recent strategic resolutions issued by the Politburo , Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation is identified as a particularly important strategic decision. The resolution emphasizes that the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation is a top priority breakthrough, serving as the main driving force for the country's rapid and prosperous development in the new era.

Although our efforts in caring for and protecting children have achieved many successes in recent times, we are still troubled by the many shortcomings and hidden issues. In particular, the negative impacts and violence in cyberspace pose a new risk, threatening the healthy development of children. Choosing the theme for this year's Month of Action for Children, linked to the goal of ensuring children's happiness and safety, especially equipping them to confidently navigate the digital age, aims to achieve a "dual objective": strengthening the protection of children against risks in cyberspace while simultaneously enhancing their digital literacy to gradually form a generation of digital citizens in the future.

Therefore, implementing this year's Month of Action for Children with a very clear and practical theme requires Party committees, government agencies, and mass organizations at all levels to clearly define the tasks set forth. From there, focus on key areas of child care, which is equipping children with the knowledge and skills to quickly adapt and confidently move forward in the digital age. Especially for the education sector and relevant agencies, it is necessary to strengthen digital skills education, self-protection skills, and prevention of risks in cyberspace for children. Families, schools, and society must truly become the "three pillars" accompanying children in the digital age, equipping them with digital skills and life skills in the online environment, helping them develop skills and the ability to proactively build "digital immunity" against negative impacts in cyberspace.

The theme of this year's Month of Action for Children is not just a slogan, but a consistent message expressing the strong commitment of the Party, the State, and the entire community to the goal of comprehensively developing children in terms of physical, mental, intellectual, personality, science , and technology... This is a proactive and long-term preparation to ensure we have digital citizens who meet the demands of the future. Therefore, starting today, right now, we must take practical and substantive actions, not just view it as a short-term action theme for a brief month.
