Diverse range of tourism products and services
According to Nguyen Ngoc Giau, Deputy Director of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Tourism Center, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park currently has 17 tourism products, including some of international standards. The annual tourist growth rate is over 12%, and tourism and service activities have created thousands of jobs for local people, contributing significantly to the state budget and further promoting the development of Quang Binh's tourism industry.
To transform the potential values of the heritage into distinctive and unique tourism products, the management board regularly improves the quality and renews existing tourism products; focusing on investing in upgrading facilities, infrastructure, and entertainment services… The park management board has launched many new games and check-in points along the Chay River-Dark Cave tourist routes, Mooc Stream, and the central area for receiving visitors.
Simultaneously, mobile sanitation facilities were put into use along the "Phong Nha Cave - Exploring the Mysterious Depths" route to minimize the impact on the natural ecosystem; the boat control house and ticket control gate at the central boat dock were repaired; and the Memorial Temple for the Heroes and Martyrs of Road 20-Quyet Thang was renovated…
The Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board has also coordinated with the People's Committee of Phong Nha town (Bo Trach district) to strengthen inspection, supervision, and management of 401 tourist boats; signed photography contracts with 175 photographers from the Phong Nha Photography Team and 46 souvenir and beverage stalls; and signed a cooperation agreement on managing tourism activities in Phong Nha town to ensure security, order, and environmental hygiene.
“Last year, the tourist routes and destinations under our management welcomed and served more than 525,000 visitors (an increase of about 15%). Although tourism and service development has recovered and developed strongly, tourism products are still monotonous, lacking major tourism products to create highlights in the region; tourism activities have innovated but are still slow; supporting services are still lacking and seasonality has not been overcome; promotion and advertising are not strong enough while competition in price and service quality at tourist routes and destinations is increasingly fierce…”, shared the Deputy Director of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Center.
Numerous tourism promotion and marketing activities
According to Tran Xuan Hung, Head of the Planning-Finance Department (Phong Nam - Ke Bang National Park Management Board), with the aim of strengthening communication, promoting the image, introducing the destination, and affirming the brand of Phong Nam - Ke Bang National Park to travel agencies, tourism service businesses, and domestic and international tourists, in 2025, the Phong Nam - Ke Bang National Park Management Board will continue to focus on the domestic market and promote intra-provincial tourism with the programs "Quang Binh people travel in Quang Binh" and "Every Quang Binh citizen is a tour guide/tourism ambassador".
This includes focusing on key markets such as Hanoi and the northeastern provinces; Ho Chi Minh City; neighboring localities from Thanh Hoa to Quang Nam; and also paying attention to potential markets in the Central Highlands, the Southwest, Thai Nguyen, and the northern mountainous provinces. For the international tourism market, the focus will be on attracting tourists from traditional markets such as North America and European countries; expanding cooperation and promoting tourism from ASEAN markets (Singapore, Laos, Cambodia), Australia, South Korea, and Japan…

“Communication and promotion of tourism products and services will be carried out according to three main customer groups. For tourists from other provinces, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board will focus on promoting and introducing the characteristic products of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. For Quang Binh residents, we will implement the program “Quang Binh people travel in Quang Binh”; offering incentives for groups from agencies, organizations, and units in the province who visit and stay in the province. For international tourists, we will improve the quality of services for adventure tourism products, cave exploration tourism, and develop tourism products related to nature experiences and biodiversity research…”, added Tran Xuan Hung, Head of the Planning-Finance Department.
In 2025, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board plans to organize cultural activities and promote tourism within the province, nationally, and internationally, including: Organizing promotional activities to publicize and promote Phong Nha-Ke Bang tourism through celebrities, bloggers, and KOLs; exchanging information on management and operation, sharing experiences on tourism development, scientific research, and conservation between the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board and the National Cave Association of the United States; participating in the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2025 and the Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2025; learning from the experience of organizing and developing tourism models and products; connecting and promoting tourism in South Korea; exchanging and learning experiences in the management, conservation, and promotion of cross-border biodiversity values in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and Hin Nam No National Park (Laos).
