Building a happy and prosperous family

Implementing the movement to build a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family, the Women's Union of Tam Duong district has promoted propaganda and mobilized members and women to actively participate in emulation movements and campaigns launched by the higher-level unions and authorities at all levels. Thereby, many outstanding members have emerged in various fields, contributing to enhancing the role and position of women in the family and in society.

Talking to us, Ms. Lanh Thi Tuoi - President of the Women's Union of Tam Duong district said: The district Women's Union has 13 grassroots associations and the District Police Women's Union, with 126 branches, a total of 11,050 members. Implementing the movement to build a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family, in the past time, the District Association directed the grassroots associations to continue to deploy and concretize the contents: "Building Lai Chau women who are kind, confident, creative, and have a desire to develop" associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh . At the same time, deploy the plan to implement the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" and "A family of 5 yes, 3 clean" associated with building new rural areas. Directing the grassroots associations to register with the Party Committee 13 tasks contributing to building civilized rural and urban areas; Maintain activities to mobilize members and women to participate in village sanitation every Saturday and Sunday.
Along with that, the District Women's Union maintains the activities of the models: "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", "Preventing plastic waste". Develop and implement a plan to skillfully mobilize the people, mobilize members, women and people to implement the model "Village without early marriage, incestuous marriage" in Chin Chu Chai village (Nung Nang commune).
Identifying economic development support and poverty reduction as an important task, a fulcrum to help members build a "warm, equal, progressive, happy" family, the District Women's Union propagates, mobilizes, organizes many accompanying activities, takes care of the material and spiritual life of members. It can be mentioned that the movement "Women help each other develop the economy", "Help poor women have an address" is promoted; propagandizes members and women to change the structure of crops and livestock, apply scientific and technical advances in production... Coordinates well with the entrusted activities with the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to propagate and encourage members and women to borrow capital for economic development; guides the use of capital for the right purpose and effectively. Up to now, the total outstanding debt of the whole association has reached 149,719 million VND, for 51 groups, with 2,201 members borrowing capital; A total of 51 savings groups, 2,156 households participated in savings, with an amount of 3,183 million VND.

Women's associations at all levels in the district regularly innovate the content and form of activities; participate in, conduct social supervision and criticism on the implementation of policies related to women and children; promote the core role in women's work and gender equality, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals, ensuring local defense and security. Many members and women promote the role of "keeping the fire" of happiness in the family such as: Lo Thi Thom - Women's Association of Na Phat village (Binh Lu commune); Tang Thi Hanh - Women's Association of Doi 4 village (Ho Thau commune) ...
The family of Ms. Lo Thi Thom in Na Phat village, Binh Lu commune is one of the typical households in production and building the cultural life of the commune and district. Ms. Thom herself is always bold in economic development; actively participates in activities and movements of the association and the village. In February 2023, Ms. Thom and 12 villagers boldly established the Na Phat Cooperative for the production and processing of safe vegetables, tubers and fruits. With an area of 3.4 hectares of land, the cooperative grows a variety of seasonal vegetables. As the head of the cooperative, she proactively researches market demand, guides members to change crop structure, implement clean production; promotes the spirit of solidarity and mutual support among members in terms of techniques, planting experience, care, and pest control. Thanks to that, agricultural products have stable output, bringing high income to members in the group. Not only that, Ms. Thom is always a good wife and good mother.
Ms. Thom shared: “To build family happiness, my husband and I share the work and try to work hard to develop the economy. For the cooperative, the sisters unite and encourage each other to improve the productivity and quality of vegetables, tubers, and fruits, bringing in a stable source of income. The two children who are in high school always try to study hard and listen to their parents and teachers. My family has maintained the title of “Cultural Family” for many consecutive years; especially in 2023, I was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Women's Union for my outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign “Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean”.
Deeply aware of the role of the family as well as the importance of women in building a “well-off, equal, progressive, happy” family, in the coming time, the Women’s Union of Tam Duong district will continue to direct the grassroots associations to create conditions, support and further promote the role of female members. From there, help women improve their material and spiritual life, confidently participate in activities and movements of the association and locality.
