Lieutenant Phan Nguyen Anh Duc, a student of the 2025 training course to consolidate English knowledge level 3 and foster pedagogical skills for ship officers, excitedly said: "The Vietnamese-English bilingual newsletter helps us regularly practice listening, translation, vocabulary, sentence structure... skills, contributing to improving our English proficiency."

The Vietnamese - English bilingual billboard system was deployed at the Coast Guard Training and Professional Development Center.

Implementing the Project on foreign language training and development for the Vietnam Coast Guard force in the period of 2022-2030, in recent times, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Coast Guard Training and Development Center have paid great attention to building a communication environment that regularly uses English for officers and students to self-study and self-train. Accordingly, leaders and agencies have directed agencies and units to implement many measures and solutions in the form of direct and indirect training, which are very effective in improving the quality of teaching and learning English for officers and students.

For example: In teaching, the regulations on greetings and reports of students and class leaders with teachers are also carried out in English. Or based on practical conditions, teachers help learners contact directly by video with experts and prestigious foreign language lecturers to consolidate and improve the communication skills of staff and students. In daily activities, the Center deploys the installation of a system of boards, signs, billboards, slogans, model notes, and bilingual teaching aids; invests funds to buy foreign language books and newspapers for the library's bookcase; organizes for students to watch foreign movies with English dialogue and subtitles on weekends. Maintains professional activities every week, sharing foreign language teaching methods. In particular, on major national holidays and traditional days of the unit, the Center also organizes language festivals, English gala programs, etc. Thanks to that, the English proficiency of staff and students in the entire Center is constantly improved.

Colonel Doan Van Hieu, Director of the Coast Guard Training and Professional Development Center, said: Improving English proficiency helps officers and students in their studies; especially in teaching how to approach, operate and master new weapons and technical equipment very effectively... Thereby contributing to improving the quality of education and training of a team of "both red and professional" officers and employees, serving the need for human resources, developing an elite, modern, highly professional Coast Guard force, meeting the requirements and tasks of protecting national sovereignty and enforcing the law at sea in the new situation.
