Implementing Resolution No. 19 of the 6th Conference of the 12th Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate the organization and management system, improving the quality and efficiency of public service units; Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, proposing the need to organize and rearrange the province's vocational training institutions to ensure streamlining, efficiency, and development into high-quality vocational training institutions, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Project to merge Vinh Phuc Vocational College into Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology and change its name to Vinh Phuc College of Engineering and Technology.
At the same time, coordinate with the two schools to promote propaganda about the goals and significance of the reorganization of the province's college network; do a good job of ideological work, not to affect the teaching and learning psychology of the staff, lecturers, students.
Currently, Vinh Phuc Vocational College is focusing on reviewing, counting and synthesizing cadres, civil servants, contract workers according to regulations, finance, assets, facilities, equipment and related documents; continuing to complete the acceptance, liquidation and settlement procedures for the contracts the school has signed.
Along with that, well organize the preparation of handing over assets along with personnel records, student records and other related records of the school to relevant agencies and units.
To prepare the conditions for the new school to operate in accordance with regulations, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs actively coordinated with departments, branches and sectors and the two schools to continue to promote propaganda, create unity and solidarity among all party members, civil servants and employees of the units about the purpose, meaning and mission of the unit after the merger; prepare to organize a conference to announce Decision No. 1974 of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
At the same time, propose the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to complete the positions of principal and vice principal in the immediate direction of arranging the current number of leaders of Vinh Phuc Vocational College and Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology to manage the school's activities.
Teacher Nguyen Van Dong, Vice Principal in charge of Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology, said: Thanks to good propaganda work, the school's staff and lecturers all clearly understand that the merger of the two schools is an inevitable trend, in line with the actual situation and characteristics of the schools and the need to supply high-quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the province.
The merger preparation work is being carried out by the school according to the roadmap and plan set out with the goal of putting the merged school into stable operation soon, ensuring the highest benefits for staff, lecturers and students of the two schools.
According to the Plan of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Decision No. 1974 of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering carries out the task of merging faculties, departments, and centers under the school and appointing key staff of units under the school; organizing and arranging the staff and employees reasonably, in accordance with the provisions of law; organizing training and managing students; merging, consolidating, and reorganizing organizations, unions, associations, etc.
After the merger, Vinh Phuc College of Technology will review, focus on investment, propose investment to meet the conditions and criteria of a high-quality college by the end of 2026 and develop a Project to develop Vinh Phuc College of Technology into a high-quality college to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for promulgation.
The merger of Vinh Phuc Vocational College into Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology contributes to reducing the number of focal points, streamlining the apparatus, effectively exploiting the functions of invested facilities and equipment and recruited and trained human resources.
At the same time, it creates opportunities for the staff and civil servants of the two schools to be trained and retrained to meet standards, improve teaching quality, and meet the requirements of the industry and society.
From there, we aim to build high-quality colleges, expand multi-disciplinary and multi-vocational training, contribute to job creation, improve income and welfare of people, and meet the requirements of sustainable socio-economic development of the province.
