How do buses operate during the April 30 and May 1 holidays?

On the afternoon of April 23, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) announced a plan for public passenger transport by bus during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

According to Transerco, the 5-day April 30 and May 1 holidays coincide with the weekend, and it is forecasted that the number of passengers at bus stations before and after the holidays will increase by 1.5 to 2 times compared to weekends.

Passenger numbers will increase sharply on bus routes with terminals or routes connecting major bus stations, such as Giap Bat, My Dinh, Gia Lam, Nuoc Ngam, Yen Nghia..., and transit stations such as Long Bien, Cau Giay, Nhon (routes 01, 03, 06, 11, 15, 16, 17, 20A, 32, 92, 101, 103...).

Transerco will operate 791 buses/day to serve people during the holidays.

During the holiday, passengers mainly concentrate on routes connecting entertainment areas and shopping centers, such as Thu Le Park, Thong Nhat, Water Park, Aeon Mall Long Bien, Aeon Mall Ha Dong, Royal City, Times City, etc.

To meet the travel needs of the people, Transerco will maintain the current schedule of the entire network during the holiday (operating 791 vehicles/day with 9,269 trips/day). Along with that, 34 vehicles will be arranged for backup.

During peak days (April 30, May 1 and May 4 - the last day of the holiday), the units under the Corporation are ready in terms of human resources and vehicles to increase service and relieve passengers at bus stations and transfer stations as required by the management agency.

Transerco also requires its affiliated units to proactively operate bus routes, ensure stable routes and service standards for customers...

Previously, Transerco also adjusted the routes and terminals of some bus routes. Specifically, it reorganized the 22A-BC branch and the 52A-B branch into 3 routes, including: Route 22A Gia Lam Bus Station - Kien Hung Urban Area; Route 22B Giap Bat Bus Station - Do Nghia; Route 52 Thong Nhat Park - Le Chi (Gia Lam).

Adjust the terminal points and terminal parking positions of 4 routes (06B, 100, 26, 38) as follows: Route 06B: Giap Bat Bus Station - Hong Van (Cam Co village, Hong Van commune, Thuong Tin); route 100: Long Bien - Dang Xa (Gia Lam); route 26: Mai Dong (near the entrance to Nam Passenger Car Enterprise) - My Dinh National Stadium; route 38: Nam Thang Long - Mai Dong (near the entrance to Nam Passenger Car Enterprise).

Along with that, Transerco adjusted the operating route of 6 bus routes, including: Route 03B Nuoc Ngam Bus Station - Giang Bien; Route 89 Yen Nghia Bus Station - Son Tay Bus Station; Route 30 Gamuda Urban Area (opposite CT1 building) - My Dinh Bus Station; Route 104 My Dinh (Do Xuan Hop Street, opposite Tan My village gate - Nuoc Ngam Bus Station); Route 98 Long Bien (parking point in the bus-only lane) - Aeon Long Bien Commercial Center parking lot; Route 23 Nguyen Cong Tru (bus parking point 32 Nguyen Cong Tru) - Nguyen Cong Tru (bus parking point 32 Nguyen Cong Tru).
