On November 24, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 7, Department 6, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security coordinated with local police to investigate the cause of the passenger bus fire at Km 37+600, Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway (section through Khanh Hau, Tay Ninh province).

Accordingly, at about 2:42 a.m. the same day, passenger bus with license plate 94B-004... driven by driver NTAM (born in 1987, from Bac Lieu ) was carrying more than 10 passengers on the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong highway, heading from Tay Ninh to Ho Chi Minh City.



When reaching the above section, the fire suddenly broke out, driver M. quickly put the bus into the emergency lane and shouted for the passengers to get out of the bus. When the passengers got out of the bus safely, the fire grew stronger and engulfed the entire bus.


Upon receiving the news, Highway 7 Traffic Police Team dispatched officers and soldiers to the scene to separate lanes, redirect vehicles, and use mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire. At this time, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Tay Ninh Provincial Police also dispatched vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. The fire was extinguished, leaving only the iron frame of the passenger bus.
The fire caused the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong Expressway from the West to Ho Chi Minh City to move slowly. Traffic police teams promptly handled the situation to avoid congestion on the expressway.
