On the morning of August 19, information from the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police said that on Ho Chi Minh Road, through Krong Buk Commune, Dak Lak Province, a passenger bus accident had just occurred, injuring 5 people, including 2 seriously injured and hospitalized.
Initial information said that at around 5:15 a.m. the same day, the passenger bus with license plate 50H-55.55 driven by driver Kim Nuol (born in 1986, residing in An Trach hamlet, An Ninh commune, Can Tho city) was traveling on Ho Chi Minh road in the direction from Dak Lak province to Gia Lai, carrying 46 people including the driver.

When the bus reached Km 1714+100 on Ho Chi Minh Road through Krong Buk commune, the bus suddenly lost control, crashed into the right side of the road and overturned. Immediately after the accident, local people and authorities used crowbars to break the car's windows to get the injured person out of the car.
The accident left two people seriously injured and taken to the Central Highlands General Hospital for emergency treatment, while three others with minor injuries were treated at Krong Buk General Hospital.

According to authorities, the initial cause of the accident was determined to be the driver's lack of observation, when entering a curve, he lost control of his speed and steering wheel, causing the car to crash into the curb. After checking, the police determined that the driver did not violate alcohol and drug levels.
