The more you travel, the more you save.
Ms. Bao Tran, who lives in Binh Duong, uses her VinFast Klara S electric scooter daily to commute to work within Ho Chi Minh City, covering a total distance of about 30 km round trip. She says that since switching to an electric scooter, her monthly operating costs have been reduced by almost half.
Like Ms. Tran, in recent years, as the green consumer trend has developed, many office workers have switched to choosing electric motorbikes because of their many advantages over scooters. Among them, cost savings are the top deciding factor.
Recently, VinFast announced a new E1000 battery leasing package applicable to its entire product range, including Evo200/Evo200 Lite, Feliz S, Klara S (2022), Vento S, and Theon S, at a cost of VND 250,000 per month for a maximum range of 1,000 km. Alongside the E1000 package, the company also offers two other packages priced at VND 350,000 per month for ranges between 1,000 and 2,000 km; and VND 990,000 per month for ranges of 2,000 km or more.
VinFast electric motorcycles are considered by users to be more economical the more they are used.
According to many users' calculations, with the VinFast Feliz S model having a maximum range of 198 km, the charging cost for a 1,000 km journey is less than 70,000 VND (calculated based on the charging cost at public charging stations of 3,858 VND/kWh). Thus, adding the battery rental cost of 250,000 VND/month, the total energy cost is only about 320,000 VND. If users proactively charge their vehicles at home, this cost will be even cheaper.
Meanwhile, a common scooter model using a 125cc engine, with a fuel consumption of 2.16 liters/100km, would require approximately 21.6 liters of RON 95-III gasoline (priced at 24,955 VND) to travel 1,000 km, equivalent to 540,000 VND.
For a monthly travel need of 2,000 km, the cost of an electric motorbike is approximately 485,000 VND, while a scooter costs 1.08 million VND.
Therefore, with VinFast electric motorcycles, the more you ride, the more you save, not to mention that the maintenance costs of gasoline motorcycles are often many times higher than those of electric motorcycles.
Safe and smart
Besides cost savings and diverse battery rental options, safety technology and smart features are also major concerns for office workers. For example, electric scooter models like the Feliz S and Klara S are popular because they feature full LED headlights and taillights, a full LCD display, and a driving mode selector (Eco and Sport), offering flexibility in all operating conditions.
VinFast electric motorcycles are "privileged" to be equipped with many safety and smart features.
Notably, despite being in the mid-range segment, the VinFast Klara S is equipped with dual disc brakes (front and rear) and a remote-controlled anti-theft system. In the higher-end segment, the Vento S and Theon S add Continental's anti-lock braking system (ABS), Phone as a Key (PAAK) eliminating the traditional lock, and a smart locking feature.
Meanwhile, the integrated eSIM HMI connection is a standard feature on all VinFast electric motorbike models. This feature automatically diagnoses and alerts for errors, automatically updates the vehicle's software via a mobile app, provides global GPS tracking, and manages all journeys.
Operates smoothly, regardless of the weather, thanks to its waterproof design.
Electric motorcycles share the common characteristic of smooth and quiet operation. This is a factor highly appreciated by office workers, helping to reduce stress while driving, especially during rush hour.
In particular, models like the Feliz S and Klara S boast the advantage of instant acceleration and a top speed of 78 km/h, easily meeting various transportation needs. Furthermore, VinFast's electric motorcycles are designed with LFP batteries placed in the floor, resulting in a low center of gravity, making the vehicle stable, grippy, and secure, especially when cornering.
Both the battery and motor of VinFast electric motorcycles meet the IP67 waterproof standard, meaning they are resistant to dust and can operate stably even when submerged in 0.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. This ensures maximum protection for the electronic modules, battery, and other critical components of the vehicle, preventing malfunctions while in motion.
VinFast products offer a smooth driving experience.
“Previously, my scooter broke down three times due to flooding in Ho Chi Minh City. Learning from experience, whenever I encountered major flooding, I would stop for 30 minutes or an hour waiting for the water to recede before continuing. Since using the waterproof VinFast Klara S, I find it very convenient; even in floods, I can still get to work or home in time to prepare dinner for my family,” commented Ms. Bao Tran.
According to Mr. Dang Xuan Thai, the owner of an electric motorbike shop in Ho Chi Minh City, the number of office workers who prefer VinFast electric motorbikes is increasing quite rapidly. The reason is that compared to traditional gasoline-powered motorbikes, electric motorbikes are more stylish , technologically advanced, safer, have a better range, and the VinFast charging station ecosystem is very convenient.
Furthermore, according to Mr. Thai, the proactive approach of Vietnamese car manufacturers in offering various incentives to stimulate demand is also a crucial factor in boosting consumer demand and fostering green mobility among Vietnamese people. Besides the incentives VinFast has implemented in collaboration with e-commerce platforms such as Chợ Tốt and TikTok Shop, from now until June 30, 2024, customers will receive 3 months of free battery rental and have the chance to win one of 300 VinFast electric motorcycles in a lucky draw, with a total prize value expected to exceed 22 billion VND.
