See award-winning paintings of preschool children in Ho Chi Minh City

This morning, May 23, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the "Children's Creative Drawing with BITEX" contest for the 2022-2023 school year took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The above drawing contest was deployed at all preschools in districts, towns, and Thu Duc City (HCMC) from December 26, 2022 to March 13, 2023.

Speaking at the closing and award ceremony this morning, Ms. Le Thuy My Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the contest provided professional clusters with opportunities to share and connect to develop expertise throughout the city. Each child is a talented amateur artist, sketching fully and truly reflecting the lives and innocent dreams of children.

Ms. Chau affirmed: "For preschool children, developing the aesthetic field is very important. Through the contest, children will have many emotions, know how to feel the beauty in nature and in the life around them. From there, children have the experience of confidence and express their talents."

Ms. Le Thuy My Chau acknowledged the efforts of the Department of Education and Training in coordination with the professional cluster of the city's preschool education quality committee and the participating units in organizing the contest. At the same time, she hoped that in the following years, this playground would continue to be promoted and expanded, creating conditions for children to develop comprehensively.

The 2022-2023 creative drawing contest attracted 2,984 preschool children aged 3-5 from 800 preschools. The organizing committee selected 240 contestants to participate in the city-level competition.

At the city level competition, children competed in 4 specialized groups, each group consisted of 60 children. Preschool children competed in 3 groups A, B, C with 2 categories: free drawing, creative drawing with fingers and hands.

This morning, more than 50 preschool children representing 240 contestants and more than 200 teachers and staff from the Department of Education and Training and affiliated schools were present at the City Kindergarten hall to receive certificates of merit and awards from the organizing committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dac Luc, Deputy General Director of BITEX, said that the contest aims to educate children about aesthetics, forming and developing their ability to perceive beauty in nature and life. This is a useful playground, motivating children to develop their artistic talents in the best and most complete way. The contest also encourages children to participate in outdoor activities and art lessons, thereby inspiring artistic emotions in preschool children.

The contest "Children draw creatively with BITEX" was held from school year 2020 - 2021 to present. After 3 years, in Ho Chi Minh City, there have been 8,235 preschool children from more than 800 preschool education facilities and 1,026 prizes have been awarded to the winning candidates.
