Review and arrange investment capital for Ba Ngan bridge in phase 2026

That is the petition of voters in the province before the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly . Responding to this petition, the Provincial People's Committee said that the Duy Phuoc Bridge project (commonly known as Ba Ngan Bridge) connecting Duy Phuoc Commune, Duy Xuyen District and Cam Kim Commune, Hoi An City belongs to the planning of National Highway 14H.

This project is also located in the planning corridor of the route connecting Dien Ban town, Hoi An city, Duy Xuyen district to connect with the route connecting road 129 to national highway 14H under investment (part of the project to complete Vo Chi Cong road).

With an important location and being the shortest route connecting Duy Xuyen district center with Hoi An city, the traffic volume over the bridge is very large, especially during rush hour; meanwhile, the project has a narrow scale, only allowing cars to travel in one direction (the 3.5m bridge surface is not enough for 2 vehicles to pass each other), so traffic jams are often present.

The provincial planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2030, has identified Duy Phuoc bridge and approach road as a priority investment project. It is recommended that the Department of Planning and Investment study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and arrange investment capital in the period 2026 - 2030.
