In the early years of liberation, the country was still facing many difficulties, and the homeland of Quang Nam - Da Nang was no exception. At that time, most of the contributors had only one means of reporting news: typing or handwriting and sending it by post. The fastest was 3 days after sending, the editorial office received it for processing, printing, and publishing, so the timeliness was not high.
By the 1990s, the postal industry had developed with the Fax delivery service, allowing collaborators to collaborate more quickly. However, the illustrations for news articles could not be sent via the Fax system, so many collaborators' articles were less vivid.
In early 1997, Quang Nam province was re-established, Quang Nam Newspaper was formed with its headquarters located on Phan Boi Chau Street, Tam Ky City, which was a favorable opportunity for collaborators in neighboring localities to participate in submitting articles more frequently. However, at that time, the newspaper was only published 4 times/week, the number of pages was also modest, so the opportunities for collaborators were less.
In addition to increasing the daily newspaper from 4 issues/week to 6 issues/week, Quang Nam Weekend also increased from 8 pages to 12 and now to 16 pages. In addition, in 2006, Quang Nam Electronic Newspaper was born to expand the "area" for brothers and sisters to collaborate on news and articles.
In particular, in early 2024, Quang Nam Newspaper will put into operation a new version of the software. To use and operate smoothly, the editorial office will open an online training class via the Google Meet platform.
Collaborators were trained on uploading operations on the new CMS software of Quang Nam Newspaper and some issues on how to write news articles, especially multimedia genres of electronic newspapers, along with some other related discussions. After the training course, we considered it as a handbook to apply to operations quickly, accurately, scientifically and bring higher efficiency.
Throughout the collaboration journey, the staff, reporters, and editors of Quang Nam Newspaper highly appreciate the contributions of collaborators. There is no distance between reporters and collaborators, so they are very close and friendly. The scientific payment of royalties, the sincere annual meetings of collaborators... motivate the team of collaborators to enthusiastically write more and more articles of higher quality.
Closing the 28-year journey of Quang Nam Newspaper, we believe that the brand built from passion and effort will contribute to creating a foundation to open up a space for sustainable development.
