At the meeting, representatives of the People's Councils of 9 communes reported on the operation of the People's Councils and the Standing Committee of the People's Councils of the communes after the merger up to now. After implementing the policy of merging administrative units, the People's Councils of the communes have basically operated stably. The work of examining, promulgating, implementing resolutions, and monitoring activities have followed the correct procedures and regulations. The reports have been prepared in full, closely following the provisions of the law. Activities of meeting voters, receiving citizens, and resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens have taken place in accordance with regulations...

In the process of performing tasks, localities still face some difficulties, such as: Information exploitation through shared database systems and electronic document management systems is still limited; facilities and equipment are still lacking and do not meet work requirements; information technology application is at a basic level, not yet synchronized, there is no specialized software system serving the People's Council at the commune level...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Giang Van Phuc, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the People's Councils of the communes had achieved in the past 3 months. Despite many difficulties, the People's Councils of the communes have made efforts to complete their tasks well.
