With the slogan "The station is home, the border is the homeland, the people of all ethnic groups are blood brothers", in recent times, officers and soldiers of the Ganh Dau Border Guard Station have regularly renovated the unit's landscape, planted trees, cleaned the barracks, painted slogans, etc., creating a spacious, clean, beautiful, and civilized living and working space. With the spirit of self-reliance, officers and soldiers take advantage of the strengths of each individual, whoever knows how to do something takes on that task, thereby saving costs significantly.

After nearly 1 year of implementing the construction of a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit, with the solidarity and consensus of the entire unit, the appearance of the barracks has changed significantly. Trees and ornamental plants have been neatly trimmed, many new constructions have been built, creating aesthetic highlights.

Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Duc Cuong - Captain of the Armed Forces Team, Ganh Dau Border Guard Station shared: "The Armed Forces Team is considered the "iron fist" of the unit, always taking the lead in taking on the heaviest tasks, from breaking rocks to expanding the vegetable garden area to transporting materials to build barns. Although it is hard, everyone is happy because they always receive timely encouragement from the commander and work in a united environment full of laughter."

The area of Ganh Dau Border Guard Station is not large, but officers and soldiers still proactively plan reasonable areas for growing vegetables, medicinal herbs, ornamental plants, ornamental flowers, etc. Every day, officers and soldiers rearrange action slogans and sports areas to suit the stationing location and ensure aesthetics. Gravel and rocky areas are leveled to plant trees or arrange miniature landscapes. Previously, this area was mainly sandy soil, making it very difficult to grow crops. Thanks to the officers and soldiers' active and regular care, whether it is sunny or rainy, the vegetable garden is still green and provides enough vegetables for daily meals. In addition, the unit also maintains a medicinal herb garden to provide primary health care for soldiers.

To achieve the above results, officers and soldiers of Ganh Dau Border Guard Station have raised their sense of responsibility, proactively ensured water sources, and assigned specific individuals to be in charge of each area, from taking care of flower gardens and ornamental plants to arranging scientific , convenient and reasonable planting and breeding areas. The system of signs and slogans is regularly checked and updated. The accommodation, living and entertainment areas are always kept neat and tidy. All of these contribute to creating a beautiful image of a regular, green, clean and beautiful border guard unit on the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Major Tran Quoc Phu - Political Commissar of Ganh Dau Border Guard Station affirmed: "In parallel with the barracks renovation, the Party Committee and commanders of the unit focus on political and ideological education, discipline training, building a clean and strong Party cell, and linking emulation with each specific task. These efforts have helped the unit become increasingly strong in all aspects, striving to become a bright spot in the Provincial Border Guard force."

Ganh Dau Border Guard Station strives to achieve all criteria for building a comprehensively strong, "exemplary, typical" unit by the end of 2025, becoming a bright spot in the emulation movement to win of the border guard force in general and An Giang in particular.
